I am not meaning to be overly forward or anything ... but perhaps shortly after I join (i.e. now) is the best time to ask me anything.

So, feel free to ask me anything.

I see that you have more than enough questions to answer. But if you do get around to me, I would ask why have you joined the Christian section of this forum? Was it in order to learn from others, or do you have some particular agenda you wish to accomplish?

Which i cannot understand and so consider you to be not quite unique but i am sure, from where you stand uniqueness is not far away.
I think the difference for me is that I do not interpret the Bible literally and I am not compelled to force nature to fit the Bible or religious doctrine.

What is the last digit of Pi?
What is that avatar, and why did you choose it?
Why do you question your own existence?
Can an omniscient God and free will coexist?
Should I cut the blue wire, or the white wire?

Sorry. If that’s too heavy, then....

What is the last digit of Pi?

The last digit of Pi *is* absolutely .... most definitely .... without a doubt .... *whatever it is*.

What is that avatar, and why did you choose it?

It's a royalty free stock image that I chose because it appealed to me. I don't know why it appealed to me.

Why do you question your own existence?

Because I like the experience of questioning my own existence. Why do I like the experience of questioning my own existence? I have no idea. I guess it's because I happen to be especially curious about most things, including my own existence, for both cultural and genetic reasons. But why am I culturally and genetically the way I am? I have no idea. As a determinist I think that the answer is *causally* because the big bang happened. But I'm not sure if you find that answer satisfying.

Can an omniscient God and free will coexist?

It depends what you mean by free will. If you mean "Libertarian Free WIll" ... then I think no.

Should I cut the blue wire, or the white wire?

To quote my favorite ESports athlete "It depends."

Sorry. If that’s too heavy, then...

I'll answer anything.

.
Lemonade or soda?

To quote him again ... it depends. But usually I prefer soda.

Boxers or briefs?

Boxers.

Bacon or tofu?

Oh my absence-of-suffering ... I think they're both equally awesome. Especially in combination.

Left brain or right?

I think the left is usually right. So let's say left. But the Humean in me would want to say right ... and t he Strawsonian in me would say both. I think. So let's call it a draw.

Hawaiian shirts or 3 piece suit?

3 piece suit.

Stick shift or automatic?

I can't drive but automatic sounds easier so I'm gonna say automatic.

Parmesan or Velveeta?

*Googles Velveeta*. Never tried it. And I like a lot of things after I first try them. Gonna call it a draw again. I think Parmesan is okay and I see it as 50/50 whether I'd prefer another random cheese I've never tried or not.

Electric razor or blade?

Electric razor because my hand tremor causes too many ouchies.

Raw carrots or cooked?

Cooked in a meal ... raw by themselves.

To continue @Revoltingest list

Hat size?

Almost always zero inches.

Do you drive?

Nope.

If so, what vehicle?

N/A due to not driving. But I'd like to drive a motorcycle if and only if I had a zero percent chance of crashing or feeling anxious while driving one.

I don't have any. If I was a more responsible and self-sufficient person *and* my partner was and she also desired having children .... then at some point I'd adopt one with her... perhaps.

Chocolate, dark or light?

I like milk chocolate and I love dark and white chocolate equally.

Coffee, black or white?

I love black, white and grey coffee all equally but rarely at the same time. I rarely need to coin flip or roll a dye and I'm rarely indifferent. I usually have a specific preference for black, grey or white but it 100% depends on my mood and it just randomly strikes me in the moment.

Married, yes, no or mind your own business?

I am happy to answer absolutely any question. I am not married. I would get married if both myself and my partner were certain we would stay together and that it would benefit us. However, there's also the fact that our ability to leave whenever we want that helps us enjoy each other .... I think. So marriage would have to be compatible with that. It's weird but .... the fact we feel free from each other helps us not want to be. I hope this makes sense but I'm content if it doesn't :)

Game Of Thrones or Downton Abbey? (Trick question..both are great.)

I've not seen either! I guess whichever is I see on my Netflix first. Or whichever is free with Amazon Prime that I see first.

Summer or winter?

Either. Mild Summer over extreme Winter but/and mild Winter over Extreme summer. I like Autumn and Spring best!

Capitalism or evil communism?

Non-Evil Capitalism over Evil Communism. But only because Evil Communism is evil. Non-Evil Capitalism over Evil Communism but/and Non-Evil Communism over Evil Capitalism.

Engineering school or law?

Law. And I don't mean that Bruce-Lee rip-off out of the video game Tekken.

Beer or wine?

One particular beer that I adore.

Socks or not with sandals?

Socks without sandles > sandles without socks > socks with sandles.

Vacation or staycation?

Staycation sensation unless there be music.

Bottle in front'o me or a frontal lobotomy?

I don't see the difference! Both sound pretty fun but only temporarily!

Antique furniture or modern?

Antique for the temporary novelty .... modern for the permanent commodity.

False equivalence or real?

False dichotomy!

Wikipedia or Britannica?

See above answer! SEP!

Lex Luthor is the only person to have found the last digit of pi, and nobody else knows what it is or how he did it, so we've ruled out Lex Luthor. You're not him. That's good to know.

It's a royalty free stock image that I chose because it appealed to me. I don't know why it appealed to me.
It appealed to you, because it was royalty free. That tells us you can do image searches on google image search. Its telling.

I see. So it matter whether we find the answer to be satisfying. You try to make your replies interesting, so perhaps the more boring your replies are the less biased we can assume they are. hmm. Interesting. Am I reading too much into this answer?

It depends what you mean by free will. If you mean "Libertarian Free WIll" ... then I think no.
They are referring to unnatural or supernatural means of choice revealing only the character of the individual apart from nurture. I suppose.

Economists?

Oh my absence-of-suffering ... I think they're both equally awesome. Especially in combination.
I think bacon and tofu are unrelated.

Its the kind of question that needs to be answered either by a lefty or a righty, not by someone ambidextrous.

I can't drive but automatic sounds easier so I'm gonna say automatic.
Stick/auto doesn't matter, except that people who can drive stick can claim to drive both stick & auto. Hence just say you prefer stick.

Electric razor because my hand tremor causes too many ouchies.

I chose a royalty free image because they're not copywrited and I don't want to get sued or have my avatar removed. But I looked at plenty of images that didn't appeal to me before I picked this one. And I don't know why this appealed to me more than the others.

I see. So it matter whether we find the answer to be satisfying. You try to make your replies interesting, so perhaps the more boring your replies are the less biased we can assume they are. hmm. Interesting. Am I reading too much into this answer?

I don't think you are. I am sure that sometimes the truth is boring. But we could always embellish a boring truth with lies to make it non-boring. I'd rather stick with boring but true. It's just a pity when truths are boring. And we can be thankful when they're not.

They are referring to unnatural or supernatural means of choice revealing only the character of the individual apart from nurture. I suppose.

For me ... 'choice' is just shorthand for the illusion of choice, anyhow. I just mean that I don't know why I did one thing instead of another.Ultimately I don't. I know that I did X rather than Y because I preferred X to Y ... but I don't know why I preferred X to Y.

Economists?

I meant Electronic Sports Athlete.

I think bacon and tofu are unrelated

I think they're both tasty food!

Its the kind of question that needs to be answered either by a lefty or a righty, not by someone ambidextrous.

Politically I consider myself a lefty. Hand-wise I consider myself a righty. Brain wise I consider myself a lefty. Importance wise I think both sides of the brain are equally important. I think that the left side of the brain is what makes us most human but I think that without the right side of the brain we wouldn't be alive and what makes us a being is just as important as what makes us a human. We need both humamness and beingness to be human beings. ... :)

Stick/auto doesn't matter, except that people who can drive stick can claim to drive both stick & auto. Hence just say you prefer stick.

Okay I'll just say "you prefer stick." You prefer stick. But do you? Not wanting to debate that. If you don't prefer stick then I won't insist that you do. I just said what you told me to say.

I know you didn't literally mean to tell me to say that I prefer stick. I was being silly for fun. But I think you were too when you told me to just say I prefer stick after asking me which I prefer! :)

Are you Pat Robertson?

No.

In addition to orange there are purple and white carrots.

Do they taste as tasty?

Why "none" religion:
Atheist?

Technically atheist in at least one sense.

Agnostic?

About some gods.

Atheist curious?

Atheist with respect to at least most gods. What would it mean to be atheist-curious about a god? Does that differ from agnostic?

Recovering believer?

I have never believed in any God unless we include a naturalistic pantheism of the sort that God is identical with a non-supernatural universe .... if God just means "the universe" I'm a pantheist in that case, then. But I don't identify with pantheism because to me the term "the universe" just suffices and I don't see what calling it "God" adds to it.

Did not feel like answering?

I'll answer anything. I used to identify as an atheist but I don't anymore because atheism isn't important to me anymore. I used to see atheism as important but now I just see it as *sometimes for some people* a side effect of something else important (at least to me).

Not decided yet?

Only sure that some Gods don't exist. Not sure that some Gods don't. But don't believe in any ... unless the universe counts ... but then see above in that case! :)[/quote]

I hope I didn't post in the Christian section of the forum! Because if I did that was purely by accident and I apologize to the staff if that was the case. I have no intention of breaking any rules.

If you are referring to a DIR role on my profile ... I don't think I have any? Perhaps check it again in that case.

ETA: Are you SURE I accidentally posted on the Christian section of the forums? I don't think I did and I can't seem to find a post of myself doing that anywhere. I was careful to not enter any of the DIR forums but if I did I apologize and will absolutely try to never do it again. I have no intention of breaking any of the forum rules.

No I can't. For two reasons. (1) I don't know that tune. (2) Even if I did know that tune I, full-stop, can't sing in tune at all.

ETA: I just randomly noticed one reason why my avatar may have appealed to me. It reminds me of the video game Ascendancy. Which I like.
