‘Iran has issued an arrest warrant and asked Interpol for help in detaining US President Donald Trump and dozens of others it believes carried out the drone strike that killed a top Iranian general in Baghdad.

Tehran prosecutor Ali Alqasimehr said on Monday that Trump, along with more than 30 others Iran accuses of involvement in the January 3 attack that killed General Qassem Soleimani, face "murder and terrorism charges", the semi-official ISNA news agency reported.’

Seems like they got a death wish. They try anything against Trump and they'll feel the full might of the US military and there won't be any Iran anymore.

Lol. The US is as mighty as Trump is. The truth is the majority of the US would gladly sacrafice trump for a little bit of peace. Really the arrogance of some Americans is just mind boggling.

No it's really about the matter of threats being made to a sitting American President.

If it was Obama I would have said the same thing.

I think that if we arrested Trump, & handed him over to Iranian authorities,
this would go a long way towards peace & reconciliation with them.
The lives & money saved would be worth it.

It is just... weird. How did they think it was going to go? Did they think one of our closest allies would chuck the sitting president under the bus? Despite Trump and my feelings towards him, it was a silly play.

It would also be an act of treason.
That is an interesting question. Can a US president (after they are out of office) be tried and convicted in an international court of law? What would those steps look like? (I don't have answers.)

It's performance art....a form of political speech.
Ameristand does indeed engage in criminal behavior.
But we're above the law. This calls attention to it.

Why wait til Trump is out of office?
He could be kidnapped.
We & our allies do it.
We do far more aggressive things that that.

Not while he is actively President of the United States.

That would be the grounds for war.
But going to war over such a thing wouldn't be worth it.
Why kill many people over Trump's extraordinary rendition to be tried for a crime?
He's only one person, & not at all essential to the country.

That's why Interpol isn't touching this with a 10-foot Pole.
