I think this question can relate to many religioues or spiritual people.

Why is it so difficult to better ourself in our practice but so easy to blame our faults on others or a deity?
Even it is sometimes others who create the difficult situation toward us, is it not our own reaction to the situation that either make us suffer or make us feel no suffering?

My understanding to the answer.
To me the answer is we suffer because of our own karma. And because our virtue is low.

Virtue is a white substans wheras karma is Black substans. ( think yin and yang for those who know these two) to much karma will show as sickness in or on our body.

Someone would maybe call virtue for light and karma for darkness, something i can understand too.

The prosess in removing our karma and recieve virtue is felt by suffering.

I am very aware that religion or Cultivation paths in the West does not speak of karma or virtue this way, but can you find similarities within the teaching in the religion or spiritual practice you do?

Karma, as I see it, is not the opposite of virtue. Karma is the result of my actions. Many of my actions are virtuous. I would not want to remove my karma from those actions.

Yes.

But karma also comes from our action ?

So could one say that bad action, speech and thought create karma
Righteroes action, speech and thoughts create virtue?

I think that sometimes, ... oftentimes, it's just our turn to hurt. There is no 'karma'. But when it happens, it seems to hurt less when I accept it as part of life, rather than looking to blame myself or someone else for it. The only real question for me is can I do anything reasonable to mitigate it? Otherwise, all I can do is hope it passes quickly, and doesn't kill me.

Why does it have to be spiritual or religious people. Why exclude atheists?

Karma is action and through causality is the sum of one's action, be be it bad action, speech, and thought, or righteous action, speech, and thought. Karma itself has no flavor. It is the action itself that colors it good or bad.

In my understanding atheists does not believe karma is real, this is why i kept atheists out of the OP this time, and because my question are mostly pointed toward religioues or spiritual people, to discuss and understand their understanding of certain question within spiritual lifestyle.

I think that's quite easy to explain.
I am too busy to improve myself, so I do not have time to find faults in others.
So, people who are too busy to find faults in others, just means they can't find the time/peace to find faults in themselves.

I always compare it to a school. Not all attend the same classes. All have their own specific classes they choose.
When in school, we don't ask the ones who choose math over German language "why you don't do German language".
Probably the same with this. Maybe in a next birth (or not), they might be very good in introspection, just not in this birth.

Karma does have a meaning to atheists, something along the lines of "good or bad luck, viewed as resulting from one's actions" Not sure what you mean as to it being 'real'.

In real i mean that karma is a substance that when a spiritual practitioner reach the level of open his/her wisdom eye (third eye) they see their own and others Black substance. In my understanding this karma is stored in a different dimension then our physical dimension, and can only be Seen if the persons third eye has been opened.

OK, we are talking about different things

I don't believe in karma. I may use it in a "what goes around, comes around" fashion but that's more wishful thinking than anything else.

I find that human nature itself makes it very difficult to exercise virtues.

I find that the human condition or plight makes it very hard to exercise virtues.

That's why they must be cultivated. All things take courage in this life. To see the simplicity of the open road to ultimate joy and peace isn't an easy one to me.

If people knew there was an eternal purpose and a karma you would have most everybody striving to achieve ultimate enlightenment and ultimate reality. Instead people act as they want to act.

Do you think some people are afraid of looking at their own faults, and do something about it?
