There are five simple but essential observances that all practicing Muslims accept and follow. These “Pillars of Islam” represent the core that unites all Muslims.
1) The ‘Declaration of Faith’ ( the one you called ridiculous ) a Muslim is one who testifies that “none deserves worship but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.” This declaration is known as the “shahada” (witness, testimony). Allah is the Arabic name for God, just as Yahweh is the Hebrew name for God. By making this simple proclamation one becomes a Muslim. The proclamation affirms Islam’s absolute belief in the oneness of God, His exclusive right to be worshipped, as well as the doctrine that associating anything else with God is the one unforgivable sin as we read in the Quran:
“God does not forgive anyone for associating something with Him, while He does forgive whomever He wishes to for anything else. Anyone who gives God partners has invented an awful sin.” (4:48)
The second part of the testimony of faith states that Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, is a prophet of God like Abraham, Moses and Jesus before him. Muhammad brought the last and final revelation. In accepting Muhammad as the “seal of the prophets,” Muslims believe that his prophecy confirms and fulfills all of the revealed messages, beginning with Adam’s. In addition, Muhammad serves as the role model through his exemplary life. A believer’s effort to follow Muhammad’s example reflects the emphasis of Islam on practice and action.
2) The Prayer (Salah) Muslims worship five times a day: at daybreak, noon, mid afternoon, sunset, and evening. It helps keep believers mindful of God in the stress of work and family. It resets the spiritual focus, reaffirms total dependence on God, and puts worldly concerns within the perspective of the last judgment and the afterlife. The prayers consist of standing, bowing, kneeling, putting the forehead on the ground, and sitting. The Prayer is a means in which a relationship between God and His creation is maintained. It includes recitations from the Quran, praises of God, prayers for forgiveness and other various supplications. The prayer is an expression of submission, humility, and adoration of God. Prayers can be offered in any clean place, alone or together, in a mosque or at home, at work or on the road, indoors or out. It is preferable to pray with others as one body united in the worship of God, demonstrating discipline, brotherhood, equality, and solidarity. As they pray, Muslims face Mecca, the holy city centered around the Kaaba: the house of God built by Abraham and his son Ishmael.
3) The Compulsory Charity (Zakah) in Islam, the true owner of everything is God, not man. People are given wealth as a trust from God. Zakah is worship and thanksgiving to God by supporting the poor, and through it one’s wealth is purified. It requires an annual contribution of 2.5 percent of an individual’s wealth and assets. Therefore, Zakah is not mere “charity”, it is an obligation on those who have received their wealth from God to meet the needs of less fortunate members of the community. Zakah is used to support the poor and the needy, help those in debt, and, in olden times, to free slaves.
4) The Fast of Ramadan (Sawm) ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar which is spent in fasting. Healthy Muslims abstain from dawn to sunset from food, drink, and sexual activity. Fasting develops spirituality, dependence upon God, and brings identification with the less fortunate. A special evening prayer is also held in mosques in which recitations of the Quran are heard.Families rise before dawn to take their first meal of the day to sustain them till sunset. The month of Ramadan ends with one of the two major Islamic celebrations, the Feast of the Breaking of the Fast, called Eid al-Fitr, which is marked by joyfulness, family visits, and exchanging of gifts.
5) The fifth Pillar is the Pilgrimage or Hajj to Mecca at least once in a lifetime, every adult Muslim who is physically and financially able is required to sacrifice time, wealth, status, and ordinary comforts of life to make the Hajj pilgrimage, putting himself totally at God’s service. Every year over two million believers from a diversity of cultures and languages travel from all over the world to the sacred city of Mecca to respond to God’s call.

It will be much better to do a comparative religion, and learn from the origin of the each religion, to understand Sikhism it`s good to look at it`s origin since it is not the subject, I will go straight to the point, Sikhs wear the five articles of their faith.
These are, known as the five Ks.
Kesh, un cut hair kept very clean and considered to be God given.
Kangha, a small wooden comb to keep the hair tidy and act as a reminder to keep well ordered lives.
Kirpan is a short sword, about 15 cm long. It signifies honour, dignity, bravery and the Sikh duty to defend the weak and oppressed, and uphold truth. The Kirpan should never be drawn in anger, but once drawn it should not re-sheathed without shedding blood.
The Kara is a steel bracelet worn on the right wrist (unless the wearer is left-handed). The circle of the bracelet is a symbol of God and unity, and the steel symbolises strength and fighting for right.
Kachs are short underpants tied with a drawstring allowing ease of movement in battle. They also symbolise purity and modesty, and are a reminder of the necessity to remain faithful to their spouses.
The most widely recognised symbol of Sikhism is the turban worn by men. It symbolizes discipline, integrity, humility, and spirituality, and is a mandatory part of Sikh faith, not a social custom. Both men and women cover their heads in public as a sign of respect for the gurus and God.
Sikhs worship in a building known as a Gurdwara (the door of the Guru) and it is usually also a community centre consisting of two halls, one a prayer hall, and a room in which the Guru Granth Sahib is kept when not in use in the prayer hall. Sikhs have no particular day of devotion however there are usually daily services, often several times a day in the larger centres. A saffron and blue Nishan Sahib flag flies outside the gurdwara to indicate a place of hospitality. No one is allowed to bring tobacco, alcohol or intoxicating drugs inside. Worshippers leave their shoes outside and respectfully cover their heads when entering.
Inside the Gudwara the Guru Granth sahib is usually on display and worshippers bow to the ground before it and make offers of food and or money. Most often men and women usually sit separately but this is a cultural, not religious requirement. An important feature of the service is the distribution and sharing of Kara parshad, a mixture of semolina, sugar and ghee. This mixture is blessed near the end of a service by stirring with the small sword known as the kirpan. In the large gudwaras, where services are offered throughout the day Kara pashard is distributed as worshippers either enter or leave the building.

Excellent write up - one small correction
The turban and unshorn hair is the sign of the Khalsa - the grant of Guru Gobind Singh
There are Sahajdhari Sikhs - that worship the content in the SGGS but do not observe necessarily all of the 5 tenets you laid out - for example you may see some one with a trimmed beard and a kara - and they consider themselves Sikh in every sense and some are even more devout than the Khalsa per se

There is a lot to say about Hinduism but not to deviate from the subject, I would say that Hinduism which derives its name from the Persian name for river, originated in the Indus river valley. It is a collection of practices and beliefs with no single founder, no single scripture and no single set of beliefs. Hinduism is also closely conceptually and historically associated with the other predominantly Indian religions Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism.
Central to Hindu worship is the image, or icon, which is worshipped either at home or in a temple. Worship to them is primarily an individual act rather than a communal one, as it involves making personal offerings to the deity and chanting or repeating the names of favourite gods and goddesses. Water, fruit, flowers and incense are offered and pilgrimage to various stones, rivers, mountains and temples is thought to be seen by the particular deity being worshipped.
Hinduism has many scriptures; the Vedas, the Upanishads, and the Bhagavad-Gita are considered the most important.

Baha'is do perform ALL the five pillars of Islam. The only difference is that instead of saying "There is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God" we say "There is no god but God, and Baha'u'llah is the Messenger of God for this age, but we also believe that Muhammad is a Messenger of God and that all Messengers are equal in stature.

No, we have no mission of spiritual conquest. If we have any mission it is the transformation of humanity into a new race of men as envisioned by Baha'u'llah.

The Five Pillars are the core beliefs and practices of Islam:

What is a soul, how do you know or how are you certain that there are such things as souls and what does or doesn't have such? I'm just wondering how you are certain about whatever it is you have decided or think is so and why or how you came to such a decision or determined such?
Similar to my questions regarding the soul stuff, what is God? What is "God in the flesh"? Why do you think Jesus is God in the flesh and what does it mean to you? How are you convinced of such, and why? Any clear reasoning?
How do you perform each of the other 5 pillars specifically and at what times, amounts, procedures, statements etc?
My father knew a Bahai guy, an elderly caucasian man, and that guy said he prays five times a day. My father asked him, does he fart when he bends over? The man answered yes, of course.
My father later called him pretending to be a female, I overheard my dad and was like "What the hell?" anyway, the poor old man really believed a young girl had called him and went over to the real woman my father was pranking him as. The woman had no idea what the old man was talking about. The man then confided the tale to my father, weeping profusely in front of my father, who weeped also seeing the old man cry desperately, my father begged God for forgiveness for the prank on the poor old Bahai man.
I laugh out loud today about this magnificent God-manufactured profoundness and stupidity, its freaking hilarious lol and is emotional too.
What can save? Why do you think so? How are you convinced of that or why do you trust in that or have confidence in such?

Everyone needs a reminder sometimes, but its possible that your constant dealing with opposition and hostility is making you into an overall unsavory character. I almost immediately noticed your behavior and thought your approach was belligerent with people, then you even went ahead and called me a hypocrite too! Do you get off agitating, hurting, and infuriating people? It is popular to do so but unbecoming too of any decent human being.

God demonstrates in these little disputes who is the quickest to straighten up and correct course after being lured in a bit. Whoever sins, is sinning against themselves, is risking punishment, whoever does wrong its fire on their own heads, so the easiest way against your enemies is kindness, and blamelessness, and then their sins pile up and up ad they rage on and on, and one needn't even take a wicked pleasure in their raging or provoking them to more, because even that isn't probably the better course, but the focus should be on representing all the best always, and there is also no shame whatsoever in escaping and leaving if one is having trouble, just like the New Testament says if some part of your body causes you to sin, its a stumbling block for you and to save yourself from worse its to be cut off or cut cold turkey, which most people don't take to its literal extreme but understand as cutting off whatever may lead to sinning, even if its fighting for Christianity or disputing, sometimes people are led into evil when they think they are doing good, and they become hardened in it and end up in the name of thinking they are doing good, doing all kinds of wrong things, which seems pretty openly going on throughout the comments section. I think that you might turn in peaceful prayers is a great move and strategy. "

You can resume however you like, but those were the verses from the Quran which advised you to behave differently than you have been. Seriously, what a "hell" these comments sections are, so much sinning and hate rather than Love. Is this really good fruit? I'd much rather there be good behavior and demonstrations from people claiming to be Christians and Muslims, each following the reccomendations in the scriptures for good conduct and decent behavior towards each other.
Instead, its an all out brawl with supposed Christians and supposed Muslims sinning up the wazoo, and what, the Devil laughing? Looks like you're all failing the test of following your scriptures to the best of your abilities, both of which say not to act in the belligerent and hostile and provocative manner on display through the comments."

@Sheriff Bang You will win if you control your anger like you suggested by praying instead of letting rage get the better which is what the Devil would certainly want, causing disputes and people to trip up. I said something nice to both from each of the scriptures, and that is bringing peace, understanding, love, trying to help people away from the poison and burning that raging and disputing can bring. God demonstrates in these little disputes who is the quickest to straighten up and correct course after being lured in a bit. The Qur'an as well as the Bible both reccomend that this is not the way to conduct oneself and the answer is like you said, to turn to God, turn in prayer, turn away from combat as God is the real controller, and then peace will come inside oneself, even if the enemies rage on everywhere, God will be the shield, the blanket, the comfort, everything.
It even makes it worthwhile if one can actually learn, and a total waste if one just keeps at the wrong course towards destruction.
Whoever sins, is sinning against themselves, is risking punishment, whoever does wrong its fire on their own heads, so the easiest way against your enemies is kindness, and blamelessness, and then their sins pile up and up ad they rage on and on, and one needn't even take a wicked pleasure in their raging or provoking them to more, because even that isn't probably the better course, but the focus should be on representing all the best always, and there is also no shame whatsoever in escaping and leaving if one is having trouble, just like the New Testament says if some part of your body causes you to sin, its a stumbling block for you and to save yourself from worse its to be cut off or cut cold turkey, which most people don't take to its literal extreme but understand as cutting off whatever may lead to sinning, even if its fighting for Christianity or disputing, sometimes people are led into evil when they think they are doing good, and they become hardened in it and end up in the name of thinking they are doing good, doing all kinds of wrong things, which seems pretty openly going on throughout the comments section. I think that you might turn in peaceful prayers is a great move and strategy. "

All the nasty things you see said are all just on the record even the bad stuff said to you, its probably not part of a nice story, even to see such things, its probably better to be away from all of it and even spare yourself from sinning too by less such contact and interactions which are hostile.

I don't know how you handle all that religious bantering, I am more into light conversation these days. Recently, I left The Opinion Forum to the Christian and Jew who like to argue and the one atheist who disagrees with both of them.
