"In the mountainous interior of the Ouachita National Forest, an ancient terror has been disturbed. A monster of Native legend has emerged and it has a taste for human flesh...".

No, The Shampe is not @Rival's soon-to-be-unveiled new username. The Shampe is @David1967's debut horror novel, which is now available on Amazon in both paperback and ebook. Dave told me a lot about it as he was writing it, and consequently, I myself just now ordered a copy of the paperback, and I'm looking forward reading it -- during the daylight hours.

Ain't no one, no how, no way going to get me to read it at night. And that's assuming it turns out to be only half as scary as it came across during my conversations with Dave!

By the way, Dave lives on a farm in Oklahoma, and is a local business owner. He sells musical instruments and -- just for kicks --- once held a contest to see who in his community could throw a guitar the furthest. Dave is the father of two bright and talented young humans, and the husband of a lovely wife.

Check it out on Amazon!

If I want pure unadulterated terror of the kind that makes me never sleep soundly again and install protective devices all over the place, I'll do nothing but watch Fox for two days straight.

Well, I feel like an underachiever now.
I'm also a Dave who is the father of two bright and talented young humans, and the husband of a lovely wife.
But whilst I wish to finish writing a book, he's gone ahead and done it.

Sincere congrats @David1967
