Another What-If

I will freely admit that I disagreed with about just every thing that President Obama did or said; however in the case of his decision to sanction the Osama bin Laden operation I strongly agreed with. Now if this operation had gone side-ways he probably would have paid a heavy price for his decision just like President Carter's decision for the attempted rescue of the Iranian hostages.

Now for the what-if.
If Biden had been president Osama bin Laden would probably still be alive today since Biden strongly disagreed with the operation. Now, we don't know why Biden objected to the raid; was it for political reasons? As I previously stated, if the operation had gone side-ways a heavy political price would have probably been paid. We know that most politicians care little for the lives of our service members, what they care about is their own political lives. So the answer to the question: "was Biden's decision based on political reasons"; the answer is yes.

I reject the premise that Obama made a lot of questionable decisions to disagree with, but agree that Biden is probably only half the person Obama was.

By "sanction the Osama bin Laden operation" what, exactly do you mean?

Are you talking about the raid on the compound where bin Laden was hiding?

It is curious how, even though Trump has been the president for quite some time, you never ever create a topic to criticize him, but rather spend time creating topics like this to criticize a Democract party candidate when it is not even election time. Like, what's the point of this topic? You are coming up with a random thing from years ago.

You are entirely free to do this, but I want to let you know that this behaviour has made me consider that whatever you say regarding american politics as extremely biased to the point it is merely right-wing propaganda and not a well-thought-out post.

Whatever floats your boat

Sure I'm biased against the current Democratic Party.

Do you feel the same way about those that criticize the Republican Party?

Why do you consider it propaganda? Why do you consider it not a well-thought out post?
Fact- Biden objected to the operation.
Fact- If the operation had gone side-ways the President would have been subject to criticism.
Fact - Many historians believe the failed Iranian hostage rescue operation cost Carter his second term

The point of this topic is to say that Biden is not fit for the position of Commander-In-Chief.

Because you are seeking to prove your point with a completely random event that happened years ago. This is the exact thing that a political party would be doing during election time to try to discredit their opponent. This is just propaganda.

What? Me worry?
Not trying to be glib, but I think that Biden's disagreeing with the raid is just another indication of his lack of focus and/or mental purpose. I can't think of any downside for Biden personally or politically no matter what the outcome of the operation.

In other words you don't believe that history is a valid reason for making a decision.
Propaganda is in the eye of the beholder, and ones political bias predicates what one considers is propaganda and others to consider as questionable actions.

From my perspective, not saying you're wrong:

A lot of people who criticize Biden, support a candidate, we know who he is, who does worse in those areas. If we want a fair comparison, we should all criticize Biden on one of his opponent's strong points, like the economy.

Trying to deflect are.we?
You want to criticize the President feel free to do so....start another thread. Just explain what you think should have been done vice what was done.
It seems that the only platform the Dem's have is "we want power back".

History is a valid reason for making decisions. But cherry picking random events and portraying them under magnifying lens is just propaganda.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

The questionable decision based on Obama was his impatience. There's no question he likes to do things long before they were even ready which leads me to believe he was politically motivated.

One thing I can say about Obama, trying to be bipartisan in this particular statement... He would probably make an excellent salesman.

Are not those that want the President defeated in the next elections taking random events and portraying them under a microscope not also propaganda. Is not all political adds nothing more than propaganda?
Or is it that only events that portray your flavor of politics in an unfavorable manner propaganda?

This suggests you are actually inclined to agree with Biden's more cautious approach, contra the OP. Come to the Dark Side, Nowhere. ;):smilingimp:
