Some good news as the Illinois GOP continues to disgust.

For that to be significant, we'd see 1/2 million dead if not more with an unknown number suffering long term or permanent disability from virus side-effects.

I concur with your figure of there being 1/2 million dead Americans before herd immunity is reached; Without a vaccine or a drastic Wuhan style militarized quarantining of almost every American, I'm confident the status quo public policy of social distancing can merely slow down the spread of C.O.V.I.D. this failing to stop the spread of SARS-CoV2 from ultimately infecting over half of everybody in America.

So you are suggesting they only those with covid anti-bodies should vote.

Of course not, non-C.O.V.I.D.s could safely cast their votes just as well at a well sanitized voting booth where there'd be plenty of social distancing; I'd like them to be unmasked just long enough to see if their face matches up with his/her voter ID photo.

I happen to like being a member belonging to the Heritage Foundation, because we are conservative minded people wanting public policies that'd be enabling a prosperous and opportunistic American society.
You do realize that both NAFTA and ACA(once known as ObamaCare, now TrumpCare) came from Heritage Foundation, right?

I did actually know that. Obama Care and the Heritage Foundation did both contained a "mandate" requiring people to carry insurance coverage; however, compulsory insurance coverage is considered a way of preventing a death spiral in the insurance market when regulations compel companies to issue insurance to all applicants is hardly an invention of the Heritage Foundation. Many other nations (including Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland) have compulsory insurance requirements without there being single-payer or socialized system. These are non-partisan models of health insurance, given the institutional realities of American politics representing a more politically obtainable model for future health care system reform than would be the British or Canadian models.

In our C.O.V.I.D. ravaged world with high unemployment, I've now considered an employer based health insurance coverage system to be too unreliable; Many young adults or middle aged people nowadays can't depend on there being jobs for them available with employers to provide them with health care benefits I do now favor a single payer health care insurance system.

I doubt C.O.V.I.D. will likely persist forever, but I perceive there will always be the next pandemic causing joblessness; also, people's jobs with get replaced by automation.

That's because Heritage Foundation advocated a capitalist healthcare system, that protected the corporate profits.

And when Republican Governor Mitt Romney instituted the plan in Massachusetts it was hailed as a bipartisan healthcare reform plan, the capitalist alternative to Hillary's plan for healthcare reform. The mandate was required to fund it.

And despite Trump's promise to "Repeal and Replace" Romneycare, and years of Republican promises that they had something better, and both Houses of Congress and the White House dominated by Republicans,
it turned out that they didn't have anything better to suggest.

The only real difference between the healthcare system the Heritage Fund created and the Democrats voted for vs. TrumpCare is that the taxpayers still have to pick up the tab for young people who don't want to pay for insurance and can't find an employer will.

Yeah, I'm becoming disenchanted with the Heritage Foundation. I'm considering not renewing my membership with them. I now consider their advocated policies to be too out of touch with either our C.O.V.I.D. infested economy or the highly automated economy of the future.

You know, the Heritage Fund hasn't any political power.
It's the Republicans who make the policies.
Maybe you should reconsider your partisanship. Just a thought.

If the Democrats would have chosen somebody whom I'd consider to be a decent Presidential candidate like Andrew Yang, then I'd cross party lines to vote for a Democrat over Donald J.Trump.
