"No masks allowed", another embarrasing example of the culture war.

No masks allowed: stores turn customers away in US culture war

As an experiment, we need a high profile Dem to release a PSA to remind people to wear helmets and seatbelts and to obey speed limits, stop signs, traffic lights, etc. and see if a sharp rise in automotive deaths occurs in the red states.

And before someone tries to twist things, no, I don't wish anyone death. Rather I'm highlighting the absurdity of this absolutely childish mindset.
Had Trump been adamant about wearing masks, I guarantee his supporters would be accusing those who didn't wear masks of being "unpatriotic". It's pathetic how everything - even a pandemic - is being politicalized. It's not about evidence or critical thought, it's about "teams". If a liberal reminded a conservative to wipe themselves and wash their hands after using the restroom, they would stop doing so to "teach the lib a lesson".

To be fair though, things were bad before the pandemic and similar politically, too. The pandemic just hasn't quite worked any full miracles, yet.

Beware
We have a gas station that for a few weeks refused to let people wearing masks to buy things. However it was completely okay if you were wearing a full faced helmet.

Yep. For many among the right blind partisanship loyalty had long superseded ethics and principles, but now it seems to have superseded even common sense and self-preservation.

.In Illinois, a gas station employee who put up a similar sign has since defended herself, arguing that mask-wearing made it hard to differentiate between adults and children when selling booze and cigarettes.
Can we assume this to mean the dumb-dumb doesn't card for cigarettes and alcohol as she is likely required tl do anyways?

We anti-bodied C.O.V.I.D. persons should not wear masks; this in order to avail them to all the people who are non-SARS-Cov2 anti-bodied persons.
There is NO evidence you are immune, resistant, or for how long. And that will spread covid and make people sick. You will kill people doing that as youcant spread antibodies by breathing in people. That will spread the virus.

Especially since some of these tests are unreliable.

When I'm out in public, I'm assuming everyone has the virus-- better safe than sorry because one mistake and it may be fatal for me, my wife, our "children", or grandchildren, our friends, our neighbors-- well, you get the idea.

The cynic in me find Trump's message of ''reopening'' and going against the CDC grain as pandering to his voting base. He's not interested in ''houses of worship'' being permitted to have religious freedoms, he's only concerned about his base. It's strange that much of his voting base is anti-health and safety considering many of them fall into the most vulnerable category, in terms of coronavirus complications and death.

And the Darwin award goes to.......

The GOP is pretty good at using religious and patriotic sentiment to manipulate its working class base into acting at their expense and against their interests for the benefit of the GOP's wealthy base.

Ill take it a step further. It's less votes for Trump.
(I have reached that point. It endangers my family (my mom and brother are high risk). It endangers my friends and their families. I'm at a point where I see calls to reopen and let the young people work and the at risk take care of themsleves as a call to butcher those most dear to me).

And you think people are honest? I have a bridge from a Nigerian prince to sell you. Just give me the account and routing number of your bank account and the prince will give you 10Million to launder for him.

Today at the farmer's market the guy in front of me was describing the torture he went through with COVID. And he was wearing a mask as is required. My hats are off to people like that.

This also very neatly gives lie to the argument that this is about freedom or personal choice.

Thank you for your kind concern, I will take your advice under consideration, albeit at this moment I'm following the suggestion of immunologist expert Dr. Anthony Fauci whose expertise understands people who recover from the coronavirus will likely be immune should a second wave of infection spread in the early fall.

The key word being “likely”. As in probably, not certainly. How many other people’s lives are you going to risk on “likely”?

Does Fauci recommend that you go out without a mask?
