Want to make the world a better place? How?

To quote Saint Kabir:

"I searched for the crooked, met not a single one
When searched myself, "I" found the crooked one."

As within, so without. First I should destroy the devil within me, for nothing is worse than me. After changing what is inside of me, can I worry about the outside.

Peace comes from inside out.

To make others better you must start with your self.. Or?
Without our own effort the world will not become a better place. Or?
Having started with myself I have realised I can’t do it (make the world a better place) alone.

I also need to exert effort towards the reform of others to some degree who are opposed to making the world a better place.

Would you say your effort to become a better person affect those around you, without you "trying" to change them to your liking?

I thought you were looking for alternative responses.

If one doesn't strive to better one's self, how could they strive to make others or the world better?

As I see it, if one is too lazy to better one's self, an alternative can be sitting at home and getting inebriated, screaming at their computer screen or TV about the problems in the world today.

What i think are conditions for a better world:

Everybody must be educated and especially in History and Critical Thinking. We will all then learn from others mistakes and will resist being indoctrinated. Then people will understand each other, empathise with each other and not go to war with each other because of following cults of personality or ideaologies.

:) That is a long list. That is why I say, concern yourself with making yourself better. Don't take this big responsibility of making the world better. No one has been able to do it.

I am not tryining to change the world:) I am tryining to change my self to become a better versjon of me. But one of my bigger flaws is maybe that when i realized something in my own Cultivation i speak about it, and it might be the wrong thing to do.
