Questions from a 'mundane' to those who have worked Magic(k)

A disclaimer up front: I am not a practicioner of, or even a believer in, magic(k).
I am, however, curious to learn about real life magical traditions and how people approach them. My questions for this thread may be a little personal, and I apologize in advance if they are too intrusive.

To those who have worked magic(k), what is it like? What I mean is, what do you feel when you are working a spell, curse, ritual or whatever? Is there anything about it that feels different than a mundane task, like some kind of sensation that lets you "know" you did magic(k)?

Another angle, that I would like to explore in this thread:
How 'special' does magic(k) feel to you? Are your rituals or spells a special occasion, something that you specifically prepare for? Or are they everyday activities in a similar vein as (and I am sorry if this is offensive to any of you, I just couldn't come up with a better example for a non-magic(k)al everyday ritual) praying at the dinner table? Or both?

I don't feel like answering any of the other questions(I can't figure out how to word an answer) but to me prayer is a form of magick.so I'm not offended

How 'special' does magic(k) feel to you?

magick is a natural force just like gravity. It can be special sure, but it's not supernatural. I thought I would put that out there. If I can figure out how to translate my thoughts I may answer a few more questions.

Magick is basically prayer with much more Ritual involved. That is what makes it "special". Different elements infuse the ritual with additional meaning, so that the practitioner can focus with ever greater intensity thereby releasing there Will unto the Universe. But take my answer with a grain so salt, I have not practiced magick in many years.
