Country and Western

BSM1

What? Me worry?
Had a guy ask me once if I liked country music. I asked him. "which country?". The conversation went downhill from there.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I like country where it tells a story or any situation somebody might find themselves in.......

Country, Western music has never been one of my favorites. Originally seemed to be always about how someone done someone wrong and lately seem more like rock than country, a far cry from the older style big name country singers. I like bluegrass, still like 'dueling banjos'.

The Tennessee Tourist Bureau did a great movie on the beginnings of country music. It's called "Born In Bristol". The young man who plays Jimmy Rodgers in the movie is a personal friend of ours, and he did his own music. It's a cool flick...

I totally agree. The only kind I can really stand is 1980's and older, and typically, not the nice stuff, but the *mean* stuff. ;)
