The acting Director of National Intelligence has declassified information relating to the names of Obama Administration officials related to the "unmasking" of General Flynn. The action of these officials could result in further legal consequences.

All this is throwing a dead cat on the table, to distract attention from the monumental screw-up now unfolding.

Really, it's true that it is very much a travesty for anyone calling themselves "Christian", daring to invoke Christ, to then use that to endorse the politician Trump, who for instance blocks Central American Christian refugees trying to flee death threats from gangs to safety in the U.S., which is now entirely shut down to zero, so that they are being attacked in Mexico, where the U.S. has forced them to wait.

It's a Matthew chapter 25 Life or Death ("second death") choice for a Christian, whether they welcome the stranger, those in this case from south of our border. Eternal Life, or eternal Death in the lake of fire (for those refusing the refugees, or supporting their exclusion, deportation, that do not truly repent of this significant sin). I believe in Christ see, so I don't ignore or put aside what God says.

As before:
Deuteronomy 10:19 So you also must love the foreigner, since you yourselves were foreigners in the land of Egypt.

And still now:
Matthew 7:12 In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the Prophets.

Matthew 25:35 For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in,

100% for real.

People have to choose: who is their God? Do they follow Trump, or do they follow Christ. One cannot serve 2 masters. Only one. God will not share His glory with a mortal.

I see. So, Christ was not addressing the individuals responsibility to other individuals, but rather was saying what secular nations should do, and should do with the taxpayers money. Therefore, he was criticizing Rome, and how the Romans government did not spend it's taxpayer money on aliens who were incapable of supporting themselves. Interesting.

You quote the Torah, which, as you may know, was the rule of law for the nation of Israel, a theocracy.

The United states is not a theocracy, it is a secular Republic, and in a secular nation taxpayer money is not spent based upon religious doctrines.

I suggest you read Romans 13. Paul makes an absolutely clear clear case that Christians are to obey the civil law. Certainly I have an obligation to aid any individual I come across who needs help.
however, I am also obligated to follow the law. ALL people are obligated to follow the law. Illegal aliens have broken the law, legally, they have no business being in this country. They legally have no right to taxpayer funded programs or benefits, designed for American citizens, legal immigrants do.

The law also specifies the criteria for granting residency based upon political or religious harassment or danger. Wanting more money is not a criteria that is acceptable.

Christ always speaks in terms of a followers individual responsibility to other individuals or groups. He does not address government obligations. He never condemned Rome for any of it's political positions or actions.

It's clearly the truth. You can mix nasty pornstars like Stormy into the mix if you want.
Not all denominations of Christianity have this morality conflict. Just the evangelical ones.

Why do you think porn stars are "nasty?" I don't have anything against Stormy Daniels.

Are you aware that your country, as well as Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, and Ireland all have more COVID deaths per million people than the US? From just looking at the pure data, it seems that Europe's leaders screwed up far worse than ours.

i'm referring to what jesus said to the pharisees because of their double standards. the law is not a respecter of persons. when it is perverted simply because someone is investigated, then it shows justice is not relevant any more. it shows that truth is not as important as someone's agenda.

you're obviously on some other planet, playing by some other rules that are meant to justify a man who everyone knows should have been impeached; whether theist or atheist, whether left or right. the man is base. people cannot serve god and tribalism, familialism, cronyism, elitism

I guess my question here is, with all of these various organizations with the word "intelligence" in their names, why don't they ever really seem all that smart?

One day I was driving near Washington DC and came upon this sign:

mclean-virginia-usa-road-sign-for-cia-george-bush-center-for-intelligence-A6G0AW.jpg

I just couldn't stop laughing for several miles after seeing this sign.

If the early Church were to obey all civil laws under the Romans, they would have to have abandoned their faith during some reigns.

IOW, to cooperate with evil is evil, thus no song & dance can morally change that with those of us in the Church. As Jesus said, we "cannot serve two masters". Or to put it another way in today's situation, one can believe in Trump, or one can believe in Jesus, but one cannot believe in both. Or, another way of saying this is, to excuse depravity is depravity in and of itself.

Trump has "played" the "religious-right", using the abortion issue as bait. He "converted" from being "pro-choice", which he was all his adult life, to supposedly becoming "pro-life" in preparation for the 2016 election, much like the three European fascist leaders in pre-WWII used the same exact tactic by claiming that they were "defenders of the faith".

Thus, instead of adhering to Jesus' "law of love", the religious-right bought into secular right-wing politics instead, thus all too willing to blindly accept Trump's materialism, hedonism, and dishonesty, and then even defending it!

Neither Clinton nor Trump would get votes from Christians under your standard.
