Here is a brief summary of why I believe your intepretation of Paul is in error....

*Circumcision is not one of God's 10 commandments. It is a law in ordinances and a shadow law that points to a new heart by faith [Romans 2:28-29]

*The purpose of God's law is to simply give us a knowledge of sin to lead us to the cross that we might be forgiven through faith [Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; Galatians 3:22-25]

*Faith does not do away with God's law it establishes Gods' law in the life of those who have faith [Romans 3:31; Romans 8:1-4; Romans 6:1-23; Hebrews 8:10]

*According to God's new covenant promise to write his laws in our heart to love we obey God's law [Romans 13:8-10; Romans 3:31]

*God's 4th comnandment of God's 10 commandments is one of those laws that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken [Romans 7:7]

*If we continue in sin we will die because we reject the gift of God's dear son [Romans 6:23; Romans 8:13; Romans 6:16; Romans 6:21]

*If we reject God's word and continue in known unrepentant sin (breaking any one of God's 10 commandments) we will not enter God's kingdom [Hebrews 10:26-31]

*No one is led by God's Spirit if they are knowingly breaking any one of God's commandments [Acts of the Apostles 5:32; Hebrews 10:26-27]

................

Once again why make false strawman claims no one is claiming? No one is telling you to get your righteousness from the law. Obedience to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW what Gods Word says. Doing what God's Word says is the FRUIT of faith that works by a new heart that LOVES given in the new covenant promise *HEBREWS 8:10-12.

Salvation is from sin (breaking any one of God’s 10 Commandments) not to continue in sin *ROMANS 6:1-23; JOHN 8:31-36. This is God's work in us * PHILIPPIANS 2:13. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50. We are only saved by GRACE through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God and not of works least any man should boast *EPHESIANS 2:8-9.

Faith that works by love does not abolish God's law it establishes it *Romans 3:31.

What is your fruit dear friend if your breaking God's commandments *1 John 3:4 and your duty of love to God *Exodus 20:8-11 and rejecting his Word *Romans 14:23 that has only been sent in love as a help to you to know the way when the road is dark and narrow? It seems many are called but only a few will be chosen.

Ignoring Gods' Word does not make it disappear it will become our judge come judgement day *JOHN 12:47-48

Our faith in the righteousness of Christ establishes the law, because love is the fulfilling of the law. To 'establish' and to 'fulfil' amount to the same thing. In both cases, the law is perfected in love.

Here are the fruits of our Spirit; Galatians 3:22,23. 'But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperence: against such there is no law.'

Do I see 'OBEDIENCE TO THE LAW' as a fruit of our faith! No. Instead I read, time and time again, that we are 'dead to the law'. How can we be 'dead to the law' whilst still following it?

When a law is written on the heart, it doesn't remain a written law; it becomes a SPIRITUAL law. All spiritual laws are summarized in love.

Is the Fourth Commandment a law of the heart, a spiritual law? I don't believe that it is. It's an observable law that requires ceasing work on one day of the week. 'In it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:' [Exodus 20]

Is it possible to love God and our neighbour without observing to do the weekly sabbath? Yes, I believe so. Our love of God is manifest in our faith towards Christ, a faithfulness to love.

So, what exactly do we miss out on by not observing the weekly sabbath?

As I see it, your condemnatory comments fall flat when compared with the words of Paul, who says,

'There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.' [Romans 8:1]

'Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.' [Galatians 5:1]

'Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.' [Galatians 4:30]

Our faith in the righteousness of Christ establishes the law, because love is the fulfilling of the law. To 'establish' and to 'fulfil' amount to the same thing. In both cases, the law is perfected in love.

Indeed, yet here you are denying God's Word and breaking God's 4th commandment.

Here are the fruits of our Spirit; Galatians 3:22,23. 'But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperence: against such there is no law.' Do I see 'OBEDIENCE TO THE LAW' as a fruit of our faith! No. Instead I read, time and time again, that we are 'dead to the law'. How can we be 'dead to the law' whilst still following it?

I believe you are confused here dear friend. To have faith means to believe and follow God's Word. You really going to say you do not see obedience in faith? James says those who say this have the faith of devils in JAMES 2:18-20 and faith without obedience is dead *JAMES 2:26. We are not dead to the law we are dead to sin but I believe you close your eyes and ears to hearing and seeing God's Word so you choose not to believe his Word and deny it with your words that are not God's Word.

When a law is written on the heart, it doesn't remain a written law; it becomes a SPIRITUAL law. All spiritual laws are summarized in love.

Indeed and this is what JESUS says On these two great commandments of love hang all the law and the prophets *MATTHEW 22:36-40. Paul says the same thing in ROMANS when he says...

ROMANS 13:8-10 [8], Owe no man anything, but to LOVE ONE ANOTHER: for HE THAT LOVES ANOTHER HAS FULFILLED THE LAW. [9], FOR THIS, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT KILL, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, THOU SHALT NOT COVET; and IF THERE SHALL BE ANY OTHER COMMANDMENT, it is briefly SUMMED UP in this saying, namely, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF. [10], Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW.

as does JAMES here...

JAMES 2:8-11 [8], IF YOU FULFILL THE ROYAL LAW ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURE, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF, YOU DO WELL: [9], But IF YOU HAVE RESPECT TO PERSONS, YOU COMMIT SIN, AND ARE CONVINCED OF THE LAW AS TRANSGRESSORS. [10], FOR WHOEVER SHALL KEEP THE WHOLE LAW, AND YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, HE IS GUILTY OF ALL. [11], For he that said, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, SAID ALSO, DO NOT KILL. Now if you COMMIT NO ADULTERY, YET IF YOU KILL, YOU ARE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF THE LAW.

This is where your confused dear friend Love is the fruit of the Spirit. LOVE is not separate from God's LAW (10 commandments) as shown by JESUS, PAUL and JAMES, it establishes God's LAW in the heart of all those who believe God's Word.

ROMANS 3:31 [31],Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yes, WE ESTABLISH THE LAW.

Is the Fourth Commandment a law of the heart, a spiritual law? I don't believe that it is. It's an observable law that requires ceasing work on one day of the week. 'In it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:' [Exodus 20] Is it possible to love God and our neighbour without observing to do the weekly sabbath? Yes, I believe so. Our love of God is manifest in our faith towards Christ, a faithfulness to love.

All God's LAWS (10 commandments) are laws of love. The is why JESUS says in MATTHEW 22:36-40 On these two great commandments of LOVE hand all the law and the prophets. JESUS is quoting from DEUTERONOMY 6:5 and LEVITICUS 19:18. PAUL show that the last six commandments are our duty of love to our neighbore here...

The first four commandments are our duty of LOVE to GOD *EXODUS 20:1-11.

So, what exactly do we miss out on by not observing the weekly sabbath?

Your missing out on your duty of LOVE to God who asks you to REMEMBER him as the God of creation and the creator of heaven and earth.

As I see it, your condemnatory comments fall flat when compared with the words of Paul, who says, 'There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.' [Romans 8:1]

Not really I have made no condemnatory comments. I do not judge you. I have simply shared God's Word with you but you do not believe them. It is God's Word not my words. If you feel condemned by them harden not your heart to hearing God's Spirit. You know I am telling you the truth as I do not speak my words but God's Word and only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow them over the teachings and traditions of men the break the commandments of God. You should continue reading past ROMANS 8:1 dear friend God is calling you higher but you do not hear him calling you..

ROMANS 8:1-4 [1], There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [2], For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. [3], For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: [4], THAT THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE LAW MIGHT BE FULFILLED IN US, WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH, BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT.

'Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.' [Galatians 5:1] 'Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.' [Galatians 4:30]

The bondage here is sin (breaking God's LAW) and following the letter of the law. No one has told you to do either.

May you receive his Words and be blessed. Ignoring them does not make them disappear.[/QUOTE]

I understand true obedience to be the faith of Christ. Why should we revert back to OUR righteousness, when the righteousness of Christ is the ONLY righteousness that saves?

And yes, we are dead to the law! We are dead to the law and to sin! It is you that is choosing to ignore God's clear message and alter the meaning of scripture to suit your theology.

'DEAD TO THE LAW'
Romans 7:4. 'Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ'

Galatians 2:19. ''For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.'

SIN AND DEATH ARE CONNECTED TO THE LAW
Romans 7:5,6.'For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.'

Romans 8:2. 'For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.'

Now, if Christ has made us free from the law of sin and death, why should we revert back to the oldness of the letter and to carnal mindedness?

DOES THE RIGHTEOUS MAN REQUIRE THE LAW?

'Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made;' [Galatians 3:19]

'Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners,....' [1 Timothy 1:9]

Why should a man made righteous in Christ through the Holy Spirit revert back to the law, which was made for the unrighteous?

The faith of JESUS is the teachings of JESUS the Word of God. *ROMANS 10:17; JOHN 1:1-4; 14.
Why should we revert back to OUR righteousness, when the righteousness of Christ is the ONLY righteousness that saves?
No one has ever said we have to revert back to our own righteousness. If no one has ever said we have to revert back to our own righteousness why are you pretending that they have? Yet you already know this and are simply trynig to make arguments no one has ever argued about.
And yes, we are dead to the law! We are dead to the law and to sin! It is you that is choosing to ignore God's clear message and alter the meaning of scripture to suit your theology. Where you are confused here is it seems you do not understand the ROMANS 6; ROMANS 7 and ROMANS 8. Try reading them all together and see if your interpretation of "dead to the law" means Gods 10 commandments are abolished. Your interpretaiton of the scriptures here applying dead to the law meaning God's 10 commandments are abolished disagrees with nearly eveything in the new testament and the new covenant promise of God's law being written in the heart to love *HEBREWS 8:10.

I believe you mix up the letter with the Spirit and try to separate them yet it is the one that leads to the other. Being dead to the law means to be dead to what the law is bringing a knowledge of and that is SIN *ROMANS 7:7; ROMANS 3:20. Because we are now dead to sin which God's Law (10 commandments) give us a knowledge of we are now free to walk in God's Spirit in newness of life *ROMANS 6:1-23.

It is through faith in God's Word and His promise of forgiveness through the death of His only begotten son *JOHN 3:16-21 that according to the scriptures ROMANS 8:1-3 [1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [2], For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. [3], For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.

WHY? This is the part you will not ackowledge...

[4] THAT THE RIGHTOUESNESS OF GOD'S LAW MIGHT BE FULFILLED IN US WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT. Faith in God's WORD does not abolish God's LAW it ESTABLISHES it *ROMANS 3:31.

I believe what you do not seem to want to acknowledge here is that God's good news of the Gospel of JESUS Christ is salvation from sin *JOHN 8:31-36 not salvation in sin. If you continue in Sin you will die *ROMANS 8:13 because you reject the gift of God's dear son and count the blood of the covenant an unholy thing *HEBREWS 10:27-31. Sin is defined in God's Word as not believing God's Word *ROMANS 14:23 and breaking anyone of God's 10 commandments *JAMES 2:10-11.

May you receive Gods' Word and be blessed. Ignoring it does not make it disappear.

Just think, 3rdAngel, in time to come you'll be able to look back and say, I was set free on Easter Sunday, 2020. :)

'Establishing' God's law is the same as 'fulfilling' it. It means that LOVE is the way forward.

What your argument fails to accept is that the fourth Commandment is the 'letter of the law'. It is a commandment that requires our observation to DO. This is not the SPIRIT but the LETTER of the law.

The DOING of the law is an act of OUR OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, even if we claim to walk by faith. An act of real faith is being obedient to the SPIRIT OF CHRIST, which is always an act motivated by inner love. For the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.

If you can acknowledge that the law was only a temporary measure, to lead us to Christ, then it should be obvious enough that once perfected we are to walk by the SPIRIT. To perfect the law is fulfilment, not abolition. Abolition would mean that the law no longer had a part to play in life, but it does, because the law remains a safety net, a source of justice when forgiveness and mercy are not forthcoming.

'Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners,....' [1 Timothy 1:9]

The fourth commandment is clearly a law. It was added because of transgressions. It was, therefore, not intended for the righteous man but for the unrighteous man.

Does Christ, who was a righteous man, need to be under the law? Are we, who are born again of HIS righteousness, under law or under grace?

P.S. Christ is the righteousness of the law!

Why would I need to say such things when I through faith was set free when I saw him who died for me and sufferered on the cross for my sins and that by His death and by his stripes I have been made free now for many years already? Whosoever commits sin is a servant of sin. If the son shall make you free you shall be free indeed. If you are still continuing in your sins dear friend perhaps it is you who will be able to look back and say, I was set free on Easter Sunday, 2020. All you need to do is to believe and follow God's Word.
'Establishing' God's law is the same as 'fulfilling' it. It means that LOVE is the way forward.
Indeed for establish *ROMANS 3:31 and fulfilling is the act of completing and doing *ROMANS 13:8-10. As posted earlier your just repeating yourself here dear friend and ignoring all the scriptures shared with you showing that love is not separate from Gods' LAW it fulfills it (obeys it from the heart).

This is why I believe JESUS says On these two great commandments of love hang all the law and the prophets *MATTHEW 22:36-40.

What your argument fails to accept is that the fourth Commandment is the 'letter of the law'. It is a commandment that requires our observation to DO. This is not the SPIRIT but the LETTER of the law.
Not at all dear friend. God's 4th commandment is my duty of love to God. It is God who asks us to "remember" the seventh day to keep it as a "Holy day of rest" because it is a memorial of creation and a celebration of God as the creator of heaven and earth. I do what God asks of me not because I earn salvation from it but because he already has given me His salvation and I love him. Do you love God dear Redemptionsong?
The DOING of the law is an act of OUR OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, even if we claim to walk by faith. An act of real faith is being obedient to the SPIRIT OF CHRIST, which is always an act motivated by inner love. For the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.
I believe you seem confused dear friend. Where I believe your argument fails is that you think you have God's salvation without doing what Gods Word says. According to the scriptures this is the faith of devils *JAMES 2:18-20 and is not the faith that will see you in God's Kingdom *MATTHEW 7:22-27. It is because of our faith in believing what God's Word says and our love to God that we follow what God wants us to do not because we are saved by what we do but because we love God. Do you love God dear Redemptionsong?
If you can acknowledge that the law was only a temporary measure, to lead us to Christ, then it should be obvious enough that once perfected we are to walk by the SPIRIT. To perfect the law is fulfilment, not abolition. Abolition would mean that the law no longer had a part to play in life, but it does, because the law remains a safety net, a source of justice when forgiveness and mercy are not forthcoming.
Indeed God's LAW lead us to Christ that we might be forgiven through faith. It does not abolish God's LAW as you seem to believe. That is not biblical for the purpose of the law is to give us a knowledge of what sin is when broken *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4.

It is this knowledge of sin and the penalty for sin (death) that leads us to seek God's forgiveness through God's only begotten son *JOHN 3:16-22; JOHN 1:29 where we see God's love for us fallen sinners. This is where God's law leads us.

As we receive God's forgiveness as we believe His Word we are free to walk in newness of life through his Spirit and the words are fulfilled in us "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit *ROMANS 8:1-4.

Because we now love God we have been born again to walk in God's Spirit and no longer fulfill the lusts of the flesh *GALATIANS 5:16, we no longer practice sin (breaking God's commandments) *1 JOHN 3:9. This is the difference between the children of God and the children of the devil. Whosoever has been born again to love does not practice known sin *1 JOHN 3:9-10 and this is the love of God that we keep His Commandments and His commandments are not grievious *1 JOHN 5:3.

Do you love God dear Redemptionsong?

I believe you seem confused dear friend. Where I believe your argument fails is that you think you have God's salvation without doing what Gods Word says. According to the scriptures this is the faith of devils *JAMES 2:18-20 and is not the faith that will see you in God's Kingdom *MATTHEW 7:22-27. It is because of our faith in believing what God's Word says and our love to God that we follow what God wants us to do not because we are saved by what we do but because we love God. Do you love God dear Redemptionsong?

I have answered this question affirmatively many times before. You appear not to be listening!

Nor do I doubt that you have believed on the Lord, but, as with Apollos, it is possible for a person to believe yet not be walking freely by grace. What do you think Aquila and Priscilla were saying when they 'expounded unto him [Apollos] the way of God more perfectly' [Acts 18:26]?

Why would I need to say such things when I through faith was set free when I saw him who died for me and sufferered on the cross for my sins and that by His death and by his stripes I have been made free now for many years already? Whosoever commits sin is a servant of sin. If the son shall make you free you shall be free indeed. If you are still continuing in your sins dear friend perhaps it is you who will be able to look back and say, I was set free on Easter Sunday, 2020. All you need to do is to believe and follow God's Word.

You have also quoted from Romans 8 without appearing to acknowledge the truth of the words. You say,

As we receive God's forgiveness as we believe His Word we are free to walk in newness of life through his Spirit and the words are fulfilled in us "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. If you truly believed these words of scripture you would accept that the law cannot free us from sin and death. Why should we continue in the letter of the law when it cannot free us from sin and death?

The only way to be free from sin and death is if we have the righteousness of the law (Christ) in us. The righteousness of the law is not the letter of the law; it's the SPIRIT of LOVE.

Where does it say that the fourth commandment is NOT the letter of the law?

JESUS was the promised Messiah and the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the World that who so ever believes on him should never perish but have everlasting live.

Here you go again making strawman arguments claiming things I have never said or believe. Where have I ever said that the law frees us from sin? Why make claims that are not true and why say things no one has ever said or believes? I posted ROMANS 8:1-4 because it demonstrated that God's LAW is fulfilled in those who have God's forgivness. It does not abolish God's LAW which appears to be what you are claiming and agrees with the new covenant promise of HEBREWS 8:10 from JEREMIAH 31:31-36 and what Paul teaches in ROMANS 3:31 and ROMANS 13:8-10. We are saved by GRACE through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God and not of works lest any man should boast *EPHESIANS 2:8-9. OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50. I believe according to the scriptures that if we do not follow what we believe by faith that works by love we are nothing and have the faith of devils *JAMES 2:18-20.

Asking me if I love Jesus seems to be a distraction. I have answered the same question in two previous posts, 543 and 792, making it entirely clear that I do. What you seem to find difficult to accept is that I can love Jesus whilst not following the letter of the law. From my perspective, you are claiming to walk by faith and grace, when your actions, following a legally binding sabbath, proves otherwise!

For you, the matter is summed up in the following words.
1. Sin is transgression of the law.
2. Central to the the law are the Ten Commandments.
3. Breaking any one of the Ten Commandments continues to be a sin, even when a person walks by faith in Christ. For obedience to God's law is a fruit of faith.

I think this is a false gospel of grace. My reasons are as follows:
1. Sin is more than the breaking of the letter of the law, it is the breaking of the Spirit of the law.
2. The Ten Commandments are summarized by love. Jesus fulfilled ALL the commandments in love.
3. Love is a SPIRIT; it cannot be reduced to the letter of the law. The gift of love was given by grace, through the Holy Spirit. Our obedience is to the Holy Spirit, through faith.

All Jesus Christ's commandments were to love. Yet, you seem to think that Jesus' commandments are requiring us to follow the letter of the Ten Commandments.

Here is what Paul teaches, and to me it is quite clear that he is not teaching a strict obedience to the letter of the law (which he calls 'the law').

Romans 3:19-22.'Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. '[Let it be said, I am no longer under the law, so the law is no longer speaking to me. If you are still under the law, then the law is speaking to YOU!]
'Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.'
[The 'deeds of the law' include following the fourth commandment. As it says, we are not justified by following the letter of the fourth commandment.]
'But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:'
['the righteousness of God WITHOUT THE LAW is manifested'. Jesus Christ fulfilled the law, and HIS righteousness is manifested through the Holy Spirit. How is it manifested? WITHOUT THE LAW!! Yet you would have us believe that the fruit of the Spirit is obedience to the law! This is false teaching and not what Paul says in many other places. Our obedience is to the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of love.]

Galatians 3:19. 'Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made;'

Romans 7:4. 'Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ'

Galatians 2:19. ''For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.'

Romans 8:2. 'For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.'

Ephesians 2:8,9. 'For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.'
[What are 'works', if not the DOING of the 'letter of the law'?]

Galatians 3:2,3.'This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?'

Galatians 3:24,25. 'Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.'

Galatians 5:1.'Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.'

Galatians 5:6. 'For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.'
[Faith does not work by obedience to the letter of the law!]

1 Timothy 1:9. 'Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners,....'

Romans 7:2. 'For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.'

I asked you if you love JESUS because your words deny Him. You do not keep God's Commandments and you are trying to teach others to do the same.

JESUS says IF you love me keep my commandments *JOHN 14:15. Yet you do not keep God's Commandments and teach against God's commandments in light of the very words of JESUS and the scriptures that says..

MATTHEW 5:17-19 [17], THINK NOT THAT I AM COME TO DESTROY THE LAW, OR THE PROPHETS: I AM NOT COME TO DESTROY, BUT TO FULFILL. [18], For truly I say to you, TILL HEAVEN AND EARTH PASS, ONE STROKE OR ONE PRONUNCIATION MARK SHALL IN NO WISE PASS FROM THE LAW, TILL ALL BE FULFILLED. [19], WHOEVER THEREFORE SHALL BREAK ONE OF THESE LEAST COMMANDMENTS, AND SHALL TEACH MEN SO, HE SHALL BE CALLED THE LEAST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN: BUT WHOEVER SHALL DO AND TEACH THEM, THE SAME SHALL BE CALLED GREAT IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

What do you think this scripture means below?

1 JOHN 2:3-4 [3], And HEREBY WE DO KNOW THAT WE KNOW HIM, IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS.[4], HE THAT SAID, I KNOW HIM, AND KEEPS NOT HIS COMMANDMENTS, IS A LIAR, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM.

Do you know JESUS Redemptionsong and are you telling the truth?

What you seem to find difficult to accept is that I can love Jesus whilst not following the letter of the law. From my perspective, you are claiming to walk by faith and grace, when your actions, following a legally binding sabbath, proves otherwise
According to the scriptures I believe no one follows the Spirit of the law without following the letter of the law because the Spirit works through the letter in those who believe it.

JOHN 6:63 THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK UNTO YOU THEY ARE SPIRIT AND THE ARE LIFE.

EPHESIANS 2:8 WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH and not of ourselves it is a gift of God

ROMANS 10:17 FAITH comes by hearing and hearing BY THE WORD OF GOD

None have has God's Spirit if they do not do what God's Word says as repentance is from sin which is defined in God's Word as breaking anyone of God's 10 commandments and not believing Gods' Word * JAMES 2:10-11; ROMANS 14:23.

ACTS OF THE APOSTLES 2:38 [38], Then Peter said to them, REPENT, AND BE BAPTISED every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

ACTS OF THE APOSTLES 5:32 [32], And we are his witnesses of these things; and SO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO GOD GIVES TO THOSE WHO OBEY HIM.

No! I believe according to the scriptures, no one is walking by faith if they are not doing what God's Word says. The type of faith you are decribing is the faith of devils who believe but do not follow *JAMES 2:18-20. God's people believe God's Words and follow them *JOHN 10:26-27; MATTHEW 7:22-27; JOHN 14:15; 1 JOHN 2:3-4; 1 JOHN 3:3-10; 1 JOHN 5:3; REVELATION 12:17; REVELATION 14:12; REVELATION 22:14.

I have no problem with the scriptures given in the rest of your post. Your interpretation of many of them however is where the problem is and this has already been addressed throughout this thread that you choose to ignore in order to follow man made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God. so your only repeating yourself here without addressing any of my posts and the scriptures provided in them that show why you are in error dear friend. Once again your only seeking to make strawman arguments no one is talking about. No one has ever told you or believes that we get our righteousness from keeping the law so the scriptures you have provided here are not relevant to our conversation.

We are only saved by GRACE through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God *EPHESIANS 2:8. OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD by faith that works by LOVE. Salvation is from sin (breaking any one of God’s 10 Commandments) not to continue in sin *ROMANS 6:1-23; JOHN 8:31-36. Those who continue in known unrepentant sin do not know God and need to be Born again into the NEW COVENANT promise to love *HEBREWS 8:10-12; ROMANS 13:8-10. This is God's work in us and a part of the NEW COVENANT promise *HEBREWS 8:10-12; PHILIPPIANS 2:13. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50.

JESUS says IF you love me keep my commandments *JOHN 14:15. Yet you do not keep God's Commandments and teach against God's commandments in light of the very words of JESUS and the scriptures that says..

I do not keep the letter of the law. I keep the commandments that Jesus taught during his ministry! These commandments, without exception, were all concerned with following the Spirit in LOVE.

I know what it is to follow the loving guidance of the Holy Spirit. How can we claim to know the Lord if we do not follow His Spirit?

Your whole argument hangs on one thin thread, which is itself a misreading of Hebrews 4:9. As already pointed out to you by other contributors, Hebrews 4:9 is not talking about the seventh day of man's week, but about the rest that man finds in salvation through faith in Christ.

Nowhere else in the epistles of Paul, apart from Colossians 2:16 [which, again, you attempt to dismiss], does the word 'sabbath' appear.

Observance of the sabbath, according to the Fourth Commandment, is not an issue for the Church. The Church is not required to follow this law according to the letter. If you choose to meet on a Friday/Saturday, with the agreement of your congregation, then fine, do so, but don't make out that the Church is bound by law to follow a Friday/Saturday sabbath! This is no different to condemning all believers apart from those in your own denomination, which is clearly a nonsense.

Again and again, you make the claim that you are saved by grace, but again and again you demonstrate by your words that you do not walk by grace with regards to the Fourth Commandment!

Galatians 5:4. 'Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.'

So, is the Fourth Commandment NOT the letter of the law?

Unlike all the other nine Commandments, the Fourth is the only one that contains both moral and ceremonial elements.

Here's a nice explanation provided by Alfred Edersheim,

'Lastly, the three Evangelists record this as the final outcome of His teaching on this subject, that 'The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath also.' The Service of God, and the Service of the Temple, by universal consent, superseded the Sabbath-Law. But Christ was greater than the Temple, and His Service more truly that of God, and higher than that of the outward Temple - and the Sabbath was intended for man, to serve God: therefore Christ and His Service were superior to the Sabbath-Law. Thus much would be intelligible to these Pharisees, although they would not receive it, because they believed not on Him as the Sent of God.
But to us these words mean more than this. They preach not only that the Service of Christ is that of God, but that, even more than in the Temple, all of work or of liberty is lawful which this service requires. We are free while we are doing anything for Christ; God loves mercy, and demands not sacrifice; His sacrifice is the service of Christ, in heart, in life, and work. We are not free to do anything we please; but we are free to do anything needful or helpful, while we are doing any service to Christ. He is the Lord of the Sabbath, Whom we serve in and through the Sabbath. And even this is significant, that when designating Himself Lord of the Sabbath, it is as 'the Son of Man.' It shows, that the narrow Judaistic form regarding the day and the manner of observance is enlarged into the wider Law, which applies to all humanity. Under the New Testament the Sabbath has, as the Church, become Catholic [universal], and its Lord is Christ as the Son of Man, to Whom the body Catholic offers the acceptable service of heart and life.'

Nonsense. All I am hearing dear friend is lots' of false accusations and unproven claims and repitition.
I believe as posted earlier according to the scriptures no one has God's Spirit and follows the Spirit of the law without following the letter of the law because the Spirit works through the letter in those who believe it.

As posted earlier in the very post and scriptures you ignored dear friend, your making strawman arguments no one is talking about. No one has ever told you or believes that we get our righteousness from keeping the law so the scriptures you have provided here are not relevant to our conversation. This is kind of sad for you dear friend as I have told you directly what I believe many time now yet you continue to ignore what is shared with you and bare false witness.

I have shared with you many times now that I believe we are only saved by GRACE through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God *EPHESIANS 2:8.

Yet you continue posting things no one has ever said or believe? I will leave that between you and God. Please do not waste your time posting man made teachings and traditions outside of God's Word. For me only Gods Word and true and we should believe and follow it over the teachings and traditions of men the break the commandments of God. Judgement time is coming dear friend for all those who do not believe and follow God's Word.

You say, I believe as posted earlier according to the scriptures no one has God's Spirit and follows the Spirit of the law without following the letter of the law because the Spirit works through the letter in those who believe it.

But what you say above is NOT ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES! Those that have God's Spirit are DEAD TO THE LETTER OF THE LAW. The Spirit does not work 'through the letter'.

Romans 2:29.'But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God'.

Romans 7:6. 'But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.'

2 Corinthians 3:6. 'Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.'

When Aquila and Priscilla heard Apollos speak, 'they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.' The 'more perfect way' was the way of grace, without the works of the law. In the story, found in Acts 18, Apollos had the humility to accept the truth of what Aquila and Priscilla had to teach, and went on to help the disciples in Achaia 'which had believed through grace'.

'For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.' [Galatians 5:13,14]

Both Romans 7:6 and Galatians 5:13 mention the word 'serve', which is service through the Spirit, the fruit of God's love. This service is not in the 'oldness of the letter' but in the 'newness of the Spirit'. This service is not obedience to the letter of the law.

Are you not ready, 3rdAngel, to tread 'a more perfect way'?

Not really dear friend, your confused. Try reading the scriptures that were posted that I believe you close your eyes that you did not provide by only part quoting me. As posted earlier no one receives God's Spirit without believing the letter of the Word or letter of the law as God's Spirit works through ther letter not outside of it.

Yep plenty of scripture here..

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU KNOW GOD?

1 JOHN 2:1-4 [1] My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: [2] And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. [3] AND HEREBY WE DO KNOW THAT WE KNOW HIM, IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. [4] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

.................

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CHILDREN OF GOD AND THE CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL?

1 JOHN 3:3-10 [3], And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure. [4], WHOEVER COMMITS SIN TRANSGRESSES ALSO THE LAW: FOR SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW. [5], And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. [6], WHOEVER STAYS IN HIM SINS NOT: WHOEVER SINS HAS NOT SEEN HIM, NEITHER KNOWN HIM. [7], LITTLE CHILDREN, LET NO MAN DECEIVE YOU: HE THAT DOES RIGHTEOUSNESS IS RIGHTEOUS, EVEN AS HE IS RIGHTEOUS. [8], HE THAT COMMITS SIN IS OF THE DEVIL; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. [9], Whoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
[10], IN THIS THE CHILDREN OF GOD ARE MANIFEST, AND THE CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL: whoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.

Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

HAVE YOU BEEN TAUGHT “JUST BELIEVE” ALONE WITHOUT FOLLOWING WHAT GOD'S WORD SAYS AND YOU WILL BE SAVED?

JAMES 2:19 [19] Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: THE DEVILS ALSO BELIEVE, and tremble.

DO YOU LOVE GOD?

1 JOHN 5 [1] Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and everyone that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. [2] BY THIS WE KNOW THAT WE LOVE THE CHILDREN OF GOD, WHEN WE LOVE GOD, AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. [3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

JOHN 14:15 [15] IF YOU LOVE ME KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.

1 JOHN 5:3 [3] For THIS IS THE LOVE OF GOD, that WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: AND HIS COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT GRIEVOUS.

..................

DO YOU WANT GODS HOLY SPIRIT?

JOHN 14:15 [15] If ye love me, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.[16] And I WILL PRAY THE FATHER, AND HE SHALL GIVE YOU ANOTHER COMFORTER, THAT HE MAY ABIDE WITH YOU FOR EVER;[17] EVEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

HAVE YOU BEEN TAUGHT THAT GODS SABBATH COMMANDMENT GRIEVOUS TO YOU?

1JOHN 5:1-3 [1] Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.[2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.[3] For this is the love of God, that WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS AND HIS COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT GRIEVOUS

Well, you see what these new covenant scriptures say about keeping the 10 commandments. Now alls you have to do is read the 4th commandment

................

SIN is KNOWINGLY breaking of any one ANY ONE of God's 10 Commandments (JAMES 2:9-11; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4). Those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN because they count the blood of the covenant and unholy thing and reject the gift of God’s dear son crucifying the son of God afresh *HEBREWS 10:26-31; HEBREWS 6:4-8; ROMANS 6:23.

................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day. Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

Do you love JESUS dear Redemptionsong? Do you know JESUS?

Sorry dear friend, it seems God's Word disagrees with you. Does this not worry you? It should. According to the scriptures I believe no one enters into God's kingdom by rejecting His Word and breaking His Commandments.

Once again, you are side-stepping the issue of grace.

If you wish to live by the letter of the law, that's fine, but at least admit that you are not living by grace! You are clearly not 'dead to the law'. By your own admission you believe 'no one has God's Spirit and follows the Spirit of the law without following the letter of the law'.

If you follow the 'letter of the law', then you should be following the 'whole law'. Do you follow the whole law? [James 2:10]

What do you think Aquila and Priscilla were teaching Apollos when they 'expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly'?

There is no side stepping Grace dear friend. I have only ever posted about it through the scriptures to you. If I have always spoken about God's grace through the scriptures to you why do you pretend that I have not? As posted earlier according to the scriptures I believe that
We are only saved by GRACE THROUGH FAITH and not of ourselves it is a gift of God *EPHESIANS 2:8. OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD by faith that works by LOVE *1 JOHN 5:3; MATTHEW 22:36-40; JAMES 2:8-12; ROMANS 13:8-10; HEBREWS 8:10. Salvation is from sin (breaking any one of God’s 10 Commandments) not to continue in sin *ROMANS 6:1-23; JOHN 8:31-36.

Those who continue in known unrepentant sin do not know God and need to be Born again into the NEW COVENANT promise to love *HEBREWS 8:10-12; ROMANS 13:8-10; 1 JOHN 3:6-9.

Faith does not abolish God's LAW according to Paul it establishes God's LAW in those who have faith (believe and follow God's Word) *ROMANS 3:31 that the righteousness of God's law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit *ROMANS 8:1-4.

God's Grace from which we are saved by faith does not abolish God's LAW as you teach dear friend it establishes God's LAW in those who through love believe and follow God's Word.

ROMANS 3:31,Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yes, WE ESTABLISH THE LAW.

No one follows the Spirit of the law which is love without knowing the letter of the law which is to be followed by faith as God's Word works through the letter in those who believe it. This is God's new covenant promise to love *HERBEWS 8:10-12.

Sorry dear friend seems God's Word disagrees with you.

Do you love JESUS dear Redemptionsong? Do you know JESUS?

Do we 'establish' the letter of the law, or the Spirit of the law? Do we establish the law of works, or the law of faith?

If the law is fulfilled in love, then it must be the Spirit of the law that is established, not the letter of the law.

Do you keep the 'whole law'? [James 2:10]
