This is right in line with the half-dozen or so scientific studies over the past few years that have found heavy FOX News viewers are less well informed than people who do not consume much news from any source at all. Put differently, watching FOX News makes you more ignorant than you were before you started watching it. I think you can see the truth of that if you just pay attention to the posters on this Forum who are heavy FOX viewers.

There's some suggestion that Fox News contributes to Trump's higher ratings in the polls: Fox News reportedly fears its early downplaying of COVID-19 leaves it open to lawsuits

Last night I jumped over to Fox for a few minutes to see if they had changed their tune. Nope.

Tucker Carlson was on.

First he went on a rant about the response to the Texas Lt. Gov's idea of putting old people to work to keep the economy going. Of course he didn't tell us if the Lt. Gov is actually out there delivering groceries for Walmart or picking fruit and vegetables.

Then Carlson went on another rant about the shutdown being worse than the deaths from the virus.

That was about all I could take. It's no wonder that people have threatened Dr. Fauci.

If I think about it tomorrow morning, I'll tune in Fox and friends to see if the three hosts are still on the same couch together surrounded by producers and cameramen or if they are working from home as the CBS crew is.

Yes. An example: they colluded with Cheney & Co. in leading many of the network's viewers to believe that S. Hussein had a hand in 9/11.

Now you're gettin it! Just take a list of each topic or chiron Hannity or Tucker focuses on during the show. I'll bet it's around 6 main topics for the show. The things Fox focuses on are not found in normal journalistic outlets.
When I watch Fox, which is a lot, I think of myself as just a normal person listening to what they're saying. From the words and tone, you'll start to emotionally believe things and arrive at conclusions that probably aren't true. You can take your own emotional feelings when hearing something and translate that into how the audience as a whole would take it.
The conclusions I've reached have been confirmed by reading comments of Fox viewers in multiple RW websites.
They all arrive at the same conclusion. They're emotionally charged and triggered. Angry. RW media knows how to target their audience and take advantage of their larger amygdalas.
It's all psychological manipulation with immoral intent.

There's 2 reasons the republican party demonizes public education.
1. Taxpayer money doesn't belong in public education, it belongs in the MIC or other corrupt field.
2. A poorly educated populace will vote republican based on the science
