Starting Over

Last night I was having a daydream that everyone in the world was wiped out by meteor strike or some such, and only RFians were left, because I guess some prophet among us predicted it and we all hunkered down.

Anyway, everything was destroyed.

I asked the RFians if there are any people among us with the knowhow to rebuild the things that take special knowledge such as electric grids, power plants and so on.

Then I asked, Do we even want to?

Do we?
Not to labor too long on this, but daydreaming at night? I like how your mind works.

Sure, why not. We have the time. And @Revoltingest has lots of tools, engines and deck screws. @oldbadger knows how to work metal. I can drive a nail and IPM the insect pests. We could start simpler, greener and wiser. Perhaps.

well, I do have to say you have a valis point.
My cat sometimes act like there are invisible somethings in the room.
Sometimes he decides, out of the blue, that he should have been on the other room five minutes ago and just goes from snoring to darting away.
I kind of find house cat behavior interesting. It can be amusing to observe.

It is an interesting thought experiment, but I think there is a lot of information that we would need to know in order to effectively make a go/no go decision. If there is beer, cake and chocolate, I am for trying to rebuild a civilization.

You ever hear of a Bumble Ball?
We got one for the dog.
Problem is the cat wants absolutely nothing to do with it.
Unless the dog has it.

I do not know it by that name, but I have seen them before. I thought it was a kids toy, though.

Cats always seem so cool, until you catch one completely by surprise. Then they stare daggers at you like they are thinking of some way to make you pay for that brief indignity.

You know you can't start over.

It doesn't exist.

Nah man I mean you literally missed the first rule. It starts at rule 2. So I guess we can all insult each other now?
But yeah, when I'm king we can all insult each other all we want.

You don't want to know what banning looks like in that world through.
