Fear not, healthcare workers, it’s Krispy Kreme to the rescue!

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Krispy Kreme has announced it will provide free doughnuts to healthcare workers during this COVID-19 crisis.

I’m not sure what to make of this myself. It is generous. But it is providing our healthcare workers with decidedly unhealthy snacks.

Who cares. Release the sugar!!!!

Lol.

I think Krispy Kreme has done a great thing for the people at the ultimate front line. Thumbs up and kudos to Krispy Kreme.

A donut or two is not going to kill you. I reckon health care workers are among the people least likely to pig out on donuts or junk food.

Anyone thinking about healthcare workers gets a thumbs up.

McDonalds and Nando's Chicken have special offers here.
(Free coffee, and 50% off, respectively)

If one really likes that kind of donut, then the
morale boost is good for the immune system.

As with the Clintons donating pizza to hospitals in NYC, this is a bad idea and an easy way to spread the virus, any take out food is potentially infected.

I think it's a nice gesture. Personally, although I am not above stuffing a doughnut into my pie-hole now and then, Krispy Kreme is just way to sweet for me.

Not that most nutritionists would admit it but sugary snacks are the best food to get through a demanding and stressful day. Just don't let it become a habit.

I have never even heard of a cider donut. Must be an east coast thing? I'm up for it....send me a dozen.
They're a deep fried cake donut commonly served in the fall with
recently pressed apple cider, especially popular with grizzly bears.
(They help @Wu Wei put on weight for the winter's hibernation.)
These are sugar sprinkled, but I prefer mine plane.
