Remember what people been saying on this forum.
Lives more important than money and making a living.
I agree with that sentiment (emboldening mine), but it's rarely so black and white. Many people have the same dilemma in my country, where they have to choose between staying home for safety and going out to feed themselves and their families. And in a third-world country, most don't have the luxury of social security. You either work or have no money.
I don't know what the best solution is, but I would hope nobody ultimately had to choose between sacrificing any lives for money. It even seems self-defeating; what's the point of a robust economy meant to ensure people's welfare if said people die or suffer because of contracting a pandemic while going out to work?
It seems to me that both the right and the left need to work together on this one. Butting heads can only get them so far when nature is ideologically blind and won't care who believes what once it hits with something like a virus.
Stay safe out there. I hope you and your family don't have to choose between income and health and that this trying time passes soon enough.
