Most likely for the ensuing riots about to result from the mass shutdowns of businesses. Many major cities are releasing jails and prisons as well. We are witnessing the greatest idiocy and mass hysteria in history, fueled by irrational leaders with no foresight and overly dramatic media.

Some cities are not enforcing laws covering theft and petty crimes. So now citizens have to protect themselves and their property.

So you linked one report in which police will not arrest people for NON-VIOLENT crimes. Petty theft. Shopflifting.

But I can see your concern in stolen automobiles. Some of those crimes involve violent confrontation. However, theft, burglary, prostitution and vandalism do not.

That's one city. Do you have more evidence that governments are requiring that people have to take the law in their own hands?

That linked article is not proof enough.
