At a Santa Ana rally this morning, at Valley H.S., Bernie Sanders promised to Federally legalize "marijuana" (cannabis).

Would that alone be enough for you to vote for Bernie..?

Not for me. I am all for legal recreational pot use (and I believe so are most of the democratic nominees) but I'm not a single issue voter.
Right now I'd pick Bernie or Warren because most of their stated goals align with mine.
Leaning more towards Bernie because he is most consistent on healthcare and environment.

Though Pete Buttigieg said his healthcare plan is wildly expensive, leaving a trillion dollar hole, every year, even after raising taxes.

...So I don't know if I could do it.

Tax payers of America Unite!

Do you want to keep paying both for the police and also big pharmaceutical company profits?

Or do you want Truth, Freedom, and The American Way?

ETA ~ Does anybody think that Sanders has what it takes to effectively oppose corporate drug dealers? I don't.~

I'm already going to vote for him so that's just the cherry on top.

Speaking of cherries on top, if Bernie wins, we could organize an RF Cannabis Cookoff competition.

I don't want another Trump administration. I'd like another choice.

Yeah, as an independent, I don't think I could vote for him. But if he does win, of course I'm hoping to find some kind of enjoyment out of it. :D

What I was saying is that I'm confident that Sanders running as a "democrat" is probably the same as another Trump administration.

Sanders couldn't even win amongst the Democratic party candidates.

That's probably going to necessitate a very large group effort, with essentially simultaneously cutting off all heads and tentacles within a very short time of each other to prevent any of them inflicting sudden, and potentially terminal, damage to the efforts to slay it, giving the monstrosity that is corporate drug dealers time to recover from where it was hurt, it's resolve and legal armor becoming thicker in the process.

I am of two minds about this. Trump was elected almost solely because he wasn't "establishment." And Bernie did have quite a bit of support among Democrats in the lead up to 2016.

Granted, he would certainly be the oldest President ever inaugurated, if he won (so he'd better make a brilliant choice of running mate), but I think it's just possible that there a lot of people not quite so far right who would also like to see some shake-up from the status quo. So it is possible.

As for cannabis, my partner is a huge fan (it's legal here in Canada), but I've seriously never liked it -- just because of how it makes me feel -- so I never use it and have little interest in it as a campaign plank.

That looks like a long way to say "No". Sanders can't do it.

Clinton could, I believe, if she gets sufficient motivation from voters. But I don't think that will happen. People who might give her that motivation will stay home unless she agrees to everything they want. And they want so many different things that she just won't do it.

She's been there and done that. I wouldn't, if I were her.

I don't think there will be any one person who can get it done. It's too big, too deep, and too many actors playing roles in both drug dealer executive boards and politics. And I don't think one person can get much done, because unlike the normal mob, this mob directly has their hands penetrating government from the top-down, and without people watching out for their "legal tricks" I worry the efforts of one person can easily be undone, because this mob has direct access to influencing how laws are changed and how the current law is interpreted.

Supposedly Russians are supporting the Bernie Sanders campaign

Supposedly Russians are supporting the Trump campaign

Isn't it curious that anyone some democrats don't like end up supposedly being supported by Russians?
