Iran threatens to destroy the tombs of Esther and Mordechai

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
The US has lost the right to protest destruction of religious sites:
Border crews blast sacred Native American sites to build Trump's wall

You mean the large empty fields full of cactus which some people declare a 'sacred site'.

It's already been discussed on another thread.

Normally I side with indigenous people, but in this particular case it borders on the ridiculous.

It's a parcel of land 517 Miles big. How many bodies do you know of are actually buried in a 517 mile swath of land aside from this place?

Nothing sacred is being blown up.

This just shows how irresponsible and intellectually dense the Iranian government is, considering that people around the *entire world* would be upset by this action against the "United States"... But stupid is, stupid does.

"The statement comes after the Alliance for Rights of All Minorities in Iran said that the potential destruction was in retaliation for President Trump’s proposed peace plan that would give Palestinians a state and would freeze settlement construction for a period of four years. Palestinians have firmly rejected the proposal as being too favorable to Israel."

But this is a Christian Nation.
We don't care about a bunch of pagan nonsense.

What are you even thinking?

The destruction of a biblical site has much more implications than merely effecting the "United States".

It's only the latest of these acts but I guess you have excuses for every one of the historical desecration acts and threats of desecration.

America Has Never Cared About Sacred Sites

Nevertheless, it would be nice if Abrahamic religionists cared about the beliefs and reverences of other people.
But, as a group, they don't.

Quite the contrary, they have a history of trashing historical treasures.

I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy here, not justifying destruction. I'm really conservative when it comes to protecting ancient stuff. I'm just not as Abrahamic as most Americans.

Believed biblical site. There is less evidence for those sites being sacred than the Indian sacred sites the US has desecrated.

What you're not getting is that Iran threatening to destroy something that peoples *around-the -globe* hold dear, not the United States.

...The site literally has nothing to do with the United States.

Yes it does.
That's a huge part of the hypocrisy.

Trump also made such threats. He got cheers from The Basket of Deplorables.
