Democrat Debate in a Nutshell

WWMRD?
With about 8 1/2 months left the democrats are still a fractured, infighting group of rats trying to get to that last piece of wood from the sinking ship.

The other candidates were pretty brutal on Bloomberg. At least the rest are in unity on that point.

And what did he spend? Like 417 Million... I heard Sanders has spent maybe a tenth of that amount.

You should watch a Republican debate when there is no Republican incumbent in office. Do you think they are all going to get up on a stage and then say they all agree with each other on all policy matters? If all of the candidates were exactly alike and believed in exactly the same path forward, the debate would be unnecessary. You don't even have a point here.

Guess the word!

"A conversational tactic in which a person responds to an argument or attack by changing the subject to focus on someone else's misconduct, implying that all valid criticism is invalid"

I thought the subject being discussed was the fact that political candidates within a party disagree on a debate stage.

Hey, don't get me wrong. I think the democratic debates are ridiculous and hilarious and sad all put together. But these are just the type of debates you find everywhere. Yes, politicians are weird people.

Characterizing all Democrats as a "fractured, infighting group of rats" is an inaccurate stereotype (among other things). It's not a productive or useful way of framing the conversation. All it tells us is that you have some particular axe to grind and probably aren't interested in a real conversation about political debates. Considering political debates usually get heated and fighting is expected - that's what debates are - I honestly don't understand what the point of your thread even is other than "hahah, stupid Democrats." Kay? Have a cookie?

When it comes to these candidates and their behaviours it seems pretty accurate. As to the rest I haven't seen too much concern raised about inaccurate stereotypes of anyone else.

Hey, let's all rely on the democrat haters to tell us what the democrat party's agenda is! Because they won't be biased, or lie, or misrepresent the democrats at all! THEY'LL tel us the TRUTH!

Fair enough. I haven't watched one of the debates in a while, but in general I expect fighting in debates because... that's what they are. Many folks believe there's a lot at stake, so unfortunately that means things can get nastier than they should. It doesn't help that various other factors have encouraged that sort of incivility as of late.

I remember Trump making fun of Ted Cruz's wife and making up silly nicknames for everyone.
