does the golden rule meet the criteria for unconditional love; when doing unto all as self? or loving all as One?

Unconditional love doesn't have condition for some and then otherwise.I've thought that maybe a person should consider treating others better than one wants to or at least expects to be treated. The golden rule could be in some cases a low bar for morality.
the golden rule says nothing specific about respect. it says do unto other as you would have done unto you. most people want love in their lives. i doubt respect would be the top contender for what people want in their livesThe golden rule is about respect. It doesn't say you have to love everyone or agree with them, but if you're respectful enough to treat others the same way you want to be treated, you're obeying that rule regardless of your personal feelings for others.

no, love is what makes people exist peacefully. love is a need, a fundamental need. without it, self is disturbed. respect comes with love.Respect is what makes it possible to coexist peacefully with others. The word is not used in the scripture, but it's the principle that it implies.

Do you think unconditional love is a real possibility or just something people claim we ought to strive for?
My view is that it is more like "don't practice what you hate."does the golden rule meet the criteria for unconditional love; when doing unto all as self? or loving all as One?
Then that only leaves what you love?My view is that it is more like "don't practice what you hate."
Your mileage may vary.
