What makes your life worth living. What gives you pleasure.
For me it is family, love of my husband (and love returned).
The birth of my children, the greatest gift my husband has ever given me.
Love for those children and their often hilarious antics. Watching them grow and mature in awe and wonderment at their existence.
I have a strong appreciation of the natural beauty that surrounds me, the forests, the rivers, ancient villages and hamlets. Long rambling walks letting nature wash through me.
In complete contradiction I adore testing myself in a fast car, driven to its limit on a track.
Good food and great strong coffee.
Art, in general warms me, painting and sculpture of the masters past and present. Or natural art, a mountain at sunrise, a tree in autumn (fall), the fluid curves and play of muscle of the human body.
I appreciate reading a good book and will be forever grateful to the ophthalmologist who made it possible.
There are of course other pleasures i appreciate such as being alive after months of slow poisoning following a botched operation. Or escaping from and coming to terms with from some of the more horrific periods of my past life.
So how about you, what do you appreciate in life?
