Animal, Vegetable, or Mineral?

Many years ago, my dad recounted a game of 20 Questions he played with some friends of his. In one round, a player picked an object and said it was "Vegetable." As it turned out, he was thinking of Stalin's mustache, and he said it was "vegetable." It's closer to "animal," or at least part of "animal," but it certainly wouldn't be categorized as "vegetable." Could it be "mineral"?

Anyone have any thoughts?

Does anyone play 20 Questions anymore?

Mineral.

Perhaps wrong but if a hair mineral analysis shows minerals in hair from your scalp then perhaps reasonable that hair from mustache would also contain minerals.

Hairs are made of keratin. Keratin is an animal protein. Thus Stalin mustache would be broadly considered "animal organic matter". Also the mustache will contain a root which contains cells and Stalin's DNA.

Clearly animal. It has animal (human) genetics, is produced by an animal (human). I wouldn't call it 'mineral' because most minerals are not biologically produced (although I guess you could say clam shells are...)

Maybe he was hoping Stalin would become a vegetable...
