Man made traditions from the Church or the Word of God - Who do you believe and follow?

Which is an example of what is called "idolatry". The Bible is not God, so elevating it to divine status is what "idolatry" actually is. And any Biblical scholar well knows that it is not inerrant, such as the hundreds of spelling errors in John's gospel in the oldest manuscripts we have. [source: Dr. William Barclay]

The Church chose the Bible, not the Bible choosing the Church, and that simply is a historical and theological fact. So, go ahead with your "alternative facts" if you like, but the Truth is actually very different than what you're posting here.

Do you think God who is in control of all things and the creator of heaven and earth is not in control of his own Word? Everything in the bible is there because God put there because it is God's will for it to be there. No one ever said the bible is God. It is however the written Word of God, given to us by the living Word of God *JOHN 1:1-4: 14. The written Word of God, does indeed make it of divine origin.

I am indeed sorry but it was the so called scholars of the days of JESUS that did not understand God's Word and were the very ones that sought to crucify JESUS fortold about from the very scriptures they claimed to teach and know. You can put your faith in scholars if you like (teachings and traditions of men) but it was these very people that JESUS was warning us about in MATTHEW 15:2-9.

I am sorry I do not believe your claims here as they are not biblical. Everytime I see people talking about claims of bible error that I have looked into it has only ever shown that the people making these claims were the one's in error not understand the scriptures. According to the scripture salvation come by faith in believing God's Word. You can understand the attacks of the enemy are to lead others to not believe the Word of God and point people away from it. The Word of God leads us to God. Disbelief in God's Word leads us away from God. Choose this day who you will serve. As to me I will believe and follow God's Word.

God's Sheep hear his Voice and follow him. Those who do not do not hear and do not follow

Can anyone please show me where in all the bible does is say (SOLA SCRIPTURA; Scripture only please)...

1. That God's 4th commandments 7th day Sabbath has been abolished?

2. That Jesus is a Sabbath?

3. The Sabbath (seventh day) was ever changed from the seventh to the first day of the week?

4. Where we are told to keep the first day of the week holy?

5. Where the first day of the week (Sunday) is ever called a holy day?

6. That says that Jesus ever kept the first day (Sunday)?

7. That tells us to keep the first day in honour of the resurrection of Christ?

8. Where the first day is ever given any sacred name?

9. That affirms that any of the apostles ever kept the first day as the Sabbath?

10. From any apostolic writings that authorizes Sunday observance as the Sabbath of God?

11. Where we are told not to work on the first day of the week?

12. That says the seventh day is no longer God's Sabbath day?

13. That says the seventh day Sabbath is ABOLISHED?

14. Where the apostles ever taught any convert to keep the first day of the week as a Sabbath?

15. Where the first day was ever appointed to be kept as the Lord's Day?

16. Where the first day of the week is ever called the Lord's Day?

17. That says that the first day of the week was ever sanctified and hallowed as a day of rest?

18. That says that the Father or the Son (Jesus) rested on the first day of the week?

19. That says that Jesus, Paul or any other of the apostles taught anyone to observe the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

20. That calls the seventh day the “Jewish Sabbath” or one text that calls Sunday the “Christian Sabbath”?

21. Telling man to keep the first day of the week holy or to worship or rest on the first day of the week?

22. Authorizing anyone to set aside God's Sabbath and observe any other day?

23. Showing any of the apostles keeping the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

24. Authorizing someone to set aside the fourth Commandment and observe any other day of the week?

25. Where any apostle taught us to keep the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

26. Declaring that the seventh day is no longer the Eternal Sabbath day?

27. Where Sunday is now appointed to be kept as the New Testament Sabbath or holy day?

...................

If there is not a single scripture in all the bible that says God's 4th commandment has been abolished and we are not commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day. Who do you believe and follow; GOD or the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God that JESUS warns us about in MATTHEW 15:2-9?

Something to think about here because we are all accountable to God come judgment day where we will all be judged by the Word of God (John 12:47-48).

Look forward to your thoughts...

I said I cant. Now what?
It is true no one can answer those questions because there is no scripture. So if there is no scripture that abolishes God's 4th commandment and commands us to keep Sunday as a holy day, why do people do so when JESUS warns us not to in MATTHEW 15:2-9? :)

The 4th commandments is about keeping the day (friday sunset to Saturday sunset) as a Holy day of rest as a memorial of God's creation. No uneccesary work, business, shopping or domestic work is to be done on that day. It is a day dedicated to God and a celebration of God as creator of Heaven and earth and a memorial of creation.

Wasn't Jesus' crucifixion part of God's plan?

Muffled

Jesus in me
Trouble is that there is not one scripture in all of the bible that says God's Seventh day Sabbath has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day. This is simply a man-made tradition and teaching that has lead many to break the commandments of God. JESUS warns us about this in MATTHEW 15:3-9 and tells us all those who knowingly follow man made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God are not following God. Does that not worry you? It should. This has been prophesied in Daniel 7:24-25; God has his people in every Church who are living up to all the knowledge that God has revealed to them. However the hour is coming and now is that God is calling his people out from following man made teachings and traditions back to the pure words of God REVELATION 18:1-5.

God's sheep hear his Voice (the Word). Those who are not his sheep will not hear.

I believe Paul said if you keep one law you have to keep them all. I believe you would be vastly outside of the will of God if you did.

The challenge I am putting up here in this OP is for anyone to show even one scripture that says God's 4th Commandment of the 10 commandments (Exodus 20:8-11) which was spoken and written by God himself to his people, has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday (or the first day of the week) as a Holy day

Can anyone please show me where in all the bible does is say (SOLA SCRIPTURA; Scripture only please)...
1) “Scripture only please” is like saying, “We can only discuss the veracity of a round earth from a flat earth perspective.”
2) Why would you think the Bible should say that the commandment has been abolished? Is there something wrong with the 4th commandment?
3) There is a difference between explicit and implicit meaning in the texts.
4) The Faith is a living Faith, and is not a museum piece that is placed in stasis.
5) Since the OT was written by Jews for Jews, the OT commandments are only explicitly binding upon Jews.
6) since God doesn’t write, God didn’t write the commandment.
7) Jews are not commanded to keep Sunday Sabbath.

It appears as though you’re trying to pound a square peg into a round hole. Your assumptions about the texts and their meanings is incongruent with scholarship. The challenge is biased and cannot arrive at an honest settlement.

Not at all. The scriptures are the inspired Word of God. The traditions and teachings of men are not the Word of God. Only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow it. You have no scripture to share because there is nothing in the scriptures that disagree with what has been shared here in this OP. If there was you would have provided it by now. Yet here we still are 20+ pages latter no one has answered a single question from the op..

Wanna know why? There is no scriptures and the questions only show people are following man made teachings and traditions handed down from the Mother church (ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH) to all of Christianity that are not biblical but are simply man made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God that JESUS warned us about in MATTHEW 15:2-9. I do not know what is more amusing you writing what you wrote or the person that agreed with you. For me only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow it over man made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God. JESUS says those who knowingly do this are not following God as God is a Spirit and those who whoship him must worship him in Spirit and in truth. We have answered the OP and your questions. You’re not listening. A sola scriptura approach is inadequate to the task, because the Bible alone doesn’t answer the questions you ask. Why? Because the church wasn’t based on the Bible. The Bible is a product of the church, and is only part of the written tradition of the church. That’s the reality — like it or not.

WRONG! The Church is based on the old and new teastament scriptures of the teachings of JESUS, the prophets and the Apostles. Show me where you have answered a single question from the OP? If you cannot why make up things that are not true. A sola scripture approach to answer these question is simply not adequate for the simple fact that there is no scriptures that supports your false teachings that break God's commandments.

Exactly, but it's obvious that some have never studied the history of both the Church and the Bible. I know that the fundamentalist Protestant church I grew up in didn't teach this history, as if Martin Luther miraculously caught a Bible floating down from heaven right into his hands.

As has been repeatedly said, "Those whom do not know their history are doomed to repeat it".

Now you’re shouting? So you accuse me of “jumping up and down,” and here you are throwing a two-year-old tantrum in text. Pot, meet Kettle...

No it isn’t. The writings simply weren’t there when he Church was formed. It, by definition, cannot be based on those writings.
