Do you think Rachel is a liar?
If I trusted what the internet says about the Duce I would not like him, and would simply see him as a wretched sinner whose soul I pray Rosaries and receive holy Communion for.
I found him as a spirit-person and friend to be quite a new creation, a butterfly, but then I read a book by his wife and realized he was a good person despite his faults even as a caterpillar.
This thread is a collection of everything I underlined in that book. I'm going back and re-reading everything.
This will be a long thread that will not end for quite some time.
Regarding the mustard gas, I don't sleep well at night knowing it is killing children and I sanction it. When losing sleep over it, i remind myself of what Genghis Kahn said about a Warlord saves lives in an enemy city when he does whatever he can to frighten the city into surrendering without a fight.
The great Kahn wiped out 10% of the world's population to unite warring tribes, outlaw torture, create better health-care, roads, postal services, religious freedom, harmony between Christians, Muslims, Jews, and Pagans. He put an end to jihads, crusades, burning heretics at the stake, stoning adulterers, religious laws calling for amputation of limbs for theft, and much other madness of the times..I think of how after his death there was 100 years of peace and harmony for an Empire that covered 40% of the world. These were places plagued with incessant violence and many diverse ethnicities and Religions for the first time existing in harmony. Thank you great Kahn, for that makes me sleepy like a newborn.

Mussolini put troops on the border with Austria which temporarily halted Hitler's invasion. Then Hitler responded with a threat if Italy intervened.
After the fall of France and Great Britain's military in shambles, Hitler knew the British were defeated, but like Napoleon knew he couldn't cross the English channel.
We must do all we can to avoid war, but I have seen German military might. Italy will be invaded and sacked. If you think I'm going to side with the French and English weaklings, you're mistaken. They should have reacted when I had my troops on Austria's border.

The world will take her Diary as being factual and reject the words of his widow who knew him since he was seven.

Many of these people wanted my husband out of power after 20 years of the Duce who was not showing the same strength mentally or physically, and when I told my husband about people who wanted him gone, he said he didn't have the evidence to prosecute.
I can give a list of political opponents who my husband let walk to provide for their families.

Mustard gas attacks were the very methods that the civilized French and British used against the Germans in World War 1 and they used it more than I do against a less hateful and cruel enemy. On the other hand, the mustard gas probably is saving enemy lives because it's getting them to surrender. If they were inflicting casualties on us, it motivates them to fight. When they simply see that all Italians have to do is drop liquid from the skies, they lose enough morale to give up.

We have had entire armies surrender because someone had a sore throat and another had a blister, and pretty soon everyone blamed their affliction on mustard gas and came flocking like a spastic herd of spooked Buffalo to surrender and receive Italian medical care. So certain were they of gas attacks they displayed all sorts of symptoms and hysteria. It never came near them. This isn't warfare anymore. There are no longer heroes.

The enemy soldiers are flocking to my men with their hands up to surrender and even prostrating and kissing the boots of their captors. These are armies of an Empire strong as a European military on the field. They defeated Italy in war recently in our nation's history and they did so quickly.
The French and Russians who armed this violent, brutal, dishonest Empire that boasts of being Jewish have no clue. they shoot anyone who wants to enter and get a peak to verify their proud boast of having the Ark of the old covenant. If I really wanted to be disrespectful, I'd satisfy my curiosity by telling my men to use military force on the location where the Ark is kept. But I remember how many people were killed by the Ark in Scripture, and would rather not risk that. I also believe we should respect items Christians hold as sacred, and Ethiopians treat that Ark as their most sacred pride and joy. Every Church seems to have some replica of it.
