I understand what your saying,.
But I do not follow man's teachings..
I only follow my Lord Jesus Christ teachings and that is al
No. You ‘believe’ you are following Lord Jesus Christ’s Teachings. In fact belief alone counts for nothing if we consider the Words of Jesus in the same sermon (Matthew 25:31-46). In a religious debate we need to work with known facts, not subjective feelings and opinions.
Why don't you try telling that to Israel.
That the wall in which they call the wailing Wall is not part of the temple that Israel has been praying at for nearly 2000 years is not the wailing Wall part of the temple.
This is a first that my ancestors have been praying at that wall for nearly 2000 years
and now people wants to tell us the wall our ancestors prayed at is not the temple wall.
Once again we need to deal with known facts. Your claim to be Jewish is of no more value in this discussion than your claim to be Christian. We are examining a verse from Christ’s final sermon as recorded in the synoptic Gospels. To understand that verse we need to understand how some of the prophecy has already been fulfilled. The Jews do not believe one verse of the Tanakh was fulfilled through Christ’s Revelation and they steadfastly await their Messiah. However failure to recognise the facts and rely on vain imaginings is part of the human condition and affects us all regardless of what faith or race we declare our allegiance to. That is at the heart of the Gospel Message when Christ said, the truth shall set you free (John 8:32).
So the Jews pray at the wailing wall not because of what it actually is but what it represents about their links to the past and hopes for their future. However the historical facts are the main concern here.
