For Christians. Was the flood real or just a myth?

Like on the banks of the Nile or Tigris and Euphrates?

I think you are just being tiresome now.

I said MAY.

IN THE EVENT, the quote "global catastrophe that destroyed the pre-Flood world, reshaped the continents"
does not refer to some middle eastern flood plain.

Flood sediment doesn't equal rock strata in 3000 years.

Flood sediment doesn't equal rock strata in 3000 years.

Remember in the old days I said you are being tiresome?

The quote is about a stupid thing that people believe.
All of it is stupid. Not just t he rock layer bit.
But the quote is about a belief. One that involves magic.
Not reality. In magic these things can happen.

As for whether fresh strata could become lithified
in 3000 years, i kind of think in some cases it could.

AND btw this is not correct.

"No flood ever laid down rock layers."

Unless you wish to go further into silly semantics,
which you will have to do on your own.

Claiming that you know what forces and laws existed on earth in the beginning without providing the support is no better than saying the Spaghetti Monster did it.

You'ld have a point if the Spaghetti Monster were independently testable and verifiable, but it isn't so you don't.

Denying the spiritual as well as Scripture and historical records of the past for no reason is akin to Last Thursdayism.

I don't think I've ever met someone who projects his own flaws on others as much as you do.

Science cannot and never has or will.

Not that you needed another detail, but "god"
had to have removed all the evidence for the flood,
for lo, none is to be found. (I never did find a fundy, btw, who even tries to
explain why no "flood{ sediment is found in the
deep ocean basins.)

Because it was already flooded. Has been flooded since the beginning
of the flood; or so it was
As I se it :)-

The continents separated after the flood, so oceans as we know them would be post flood.
