Genesis 1:1- In the beginning The Triune Gods created the heavens and the earth.
2 - Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the God-the-Ghost was hovering to and fro over the waters.
26-Then the Triune Majesty said, "Let us make man in our images, in our likenesses: they too, will have a Triune Personality!
27- So the Triune God created mankind in Their own images, in the image of the Holy Twinity They created them; male and female Them created them. - RCV

How original! A Jehovah's Witness making stuff up. I've never seen that before. :D

Now THAT'S funny!
Churchianity has made EVERYTHING up!
Every Dogma is perverted!

Gen 2:7- Then the Holy Trinity formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and then They put an Immortal Soul into his body. - RCV

AND, to make it even Nicer, We will give worms Eternal Life so that they can gnaw on you forever also! - RCV

We have our rogues too......sadly.
Rogue Jehovah's Witnesses? That's an image I like.

I'm kind of imagining one of them bursting into a Kingdom Hall interrupting a service, wearing a leather jacket, sunglasses and chewing on a toothpick.

Thequestion I’m just reading from the NWT compliments of your friendly door to door friends. In Genesis 1:26. Their translation does say the same thing ( then God said: Let Us make man in our image, according to our likeness.) God plural I do believe. You than move on to Genesis 1:27 about the Triune God creating mankind in the image of the trinity, male and female. And I’m sure with a bun in oven when they become one, that would be a nice reflection of the trinity for little bubba does make 3 : ). Not that many translations of the bible are so explicit in mentioning the trinity as with the one you have quoted. But we still know that the trinity is there clearly in the bible from beginning to end.

No, I'm sorry..nothing like that. Your imagination is running overtime. We sometimes get those who have no ill intent but who are a little over zealous in their methods.
Often they will criticize our leadership for not seeing things their way, and publish things in a way that is not approved. The OP in this case I believe is well known under another name, but has been booted off many sites for his aggressive "in your face" methods.

Its one thing to publish things online that demonstrate a point, but if we are known on many sites for aggressively pushing that point in people's faces, that would never be sanctioned by our elders. This is why we usually come in pairs in our door to door work, and why our congregations are cared for by a body of elders so that one man's opinion is not forced onto others. The internet unfortunately is a place with no oversight, so we will have our 'rogues' publishing things in a way that our elders would never approve.

We are supposed to emulate Jesus who offered his message, but never forced it. The truth stands on its own and people who love the truth will be drawn to it. (John 6:44; 65) Brow beating people is not what we are encouraged to do. Sometimes its not what you say, but the way that you say it. Having the courage of your convictions is admirable, but there is a line we can all step over.

Please show us these references to the trinity but that do not involve inference or creative imagination in the interpretation.

Can you share one scripture where either Jesus or his Father ever directly claimed equality, or ever said that Jesus is Almighty God, incarnate?

God is not plural- even tho ancient Hebrew is in a way most don't understand, the language is so alien to us.
Google "elohim" to understand; it is NEVER rendered "They", Us" (there either), We", etc.
There is no Trinity ANYWHERE in the Bible- and since Jesus said it means Eternal Life KNOWING God- that settles the matter.

Hi Deeje I know there are many passages referring to Jesus as Divine or as Jehovah if you like . I don’t know them all off by heart but let’s start with John 10:30 where Jesus says ( I and my Father are one ). So let’s look at the chapter in context as well. At the beginning of John chapter 10 Jesus also says ( Verily verily I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way is a thief and a liar. 2 But he that entereth by the door is the shepherd of the sheep The parable continues on From v 3 to 6 that the shepherd looks over his sheep and they know his voice and a strangers they will not follow. At the conclusion of the parable v7 Jesus once again explains who the parable is referring too. Himself. V8 verily I say to you I am the door of the sheep v9 I am the door by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved. V11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep v14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep and am known of mine. Deeje just as you have Jehovah being the shepherd of his flock from times of old you also have have our Lord Jesus claiming the Divine title as well as being the good shepherd of the sheep. Now I haven’t answered everything in that chapter as yet. Just a mere sprinkling for now as I must be back to work soon. But as requested you now have your verse John 10:30 ( I and the Father are one ) where Jesus claims equality with the Father. One of the many verses and reasons why the church accepts Jesus as Jehovah too.

I suppose every group has its rebels.

If it's any help, my general impression of Jehovah's Witnesses is that they're less interested in "forcing" their beliefs on others, as they believe only God can bring people to the faith, so they see their duty as Christians in "spreading the word" to be less about making people join their religion as much as simply making the information available to people for the moment when God decides they need it. It's less "believe what we believe, or else!" and more "when you need us, you know where we are".

At least, that's the impression I get from you and the Jehovah's Witnesses I've met. Feel free to correct me if I've misunderstood. I'd much rather see that than aggressive evangelism or street preaching.

Still, love the image of a JW turning up on my doorstep in a leather jacket and sunglasses and being like "Yo! You heard o' Jesus or what??"

Thank you......that is exactly what we do, and I appreciate it greatly that you have stated it so graciously.

Like Jesus, the message is offered and if there is a willing heart, God does the rest.
