JUDGEMENT TIME AND THE INVESTIGATIVE JUDGEMENT - WILL YOU BE READY?

Hi all, according to the scriptures there will be both an investigative judgement and judgements from God poured out on mankind for those who do not believe and follow God's Word (biblical and Jewish scriptures); so the questions I am asking here are...

1. The investigative judgement what is it for?
2. God's judgements to mankind what are they for?
3. How does one avoid receiving the judgements of God?
4. What is the difference between the investigative judgement and God's judgements?
5. What was the great day of atonement for and why (Yom kippur) ?

I will post some scriptures out of interest to help the discussion on my view for to the OP.

...............

What does the bible teach about the judgements.. (for those who may be interested)

1. Who will be judged?
2. What will be the standard of Judgment?
3. Who is judged?
4. Who is the Judge?
5. Who is our Advocate?
6. Who is the Accuser?
7. How will evidence be given in the Judgment of the professed Saints?
8. What events follow the beginning of the Investigative Judgment of the professed people of God?
9. Is there a specific day set for the revelation of God's judgment?
10. When is that day of judgment, when the Saints of God are judged righteous and rewarded by inheriting the Kingdom of God forever?
11. What is the fate of the living wicked at the second coming of Jesus Christ?
12. Will anyone's fate be changed after the pre-advent judgement?
13. What is the reward of the faithful and righteous Saints of God?
14. Who will judge the wicked?
15. When will the judgment of the wicked by the Saints occur?
16. How will the evidence against the wicked be presented?
17. What happens at the conclusion of the Investigative Judgment of the wicked by the Saints?
18. Who will execute judgment on the wicked?
19. What is the penalty imposed on the wicked?
20. What happens after the wicked are cast into the lake of fire and destroyed?

scriptures and source.

Good question, as we already stand in that Day. It must then be concluded we were not ready, but the narrow gate is now open.

Thanks for your thoughts Tony, how in your view does one get ready? What do you think the great day of atonement teaches in this regard (Yom Kippur) found in Leviticus 23?

What judgement? There isn't any nor will there ever be one.

Of course that is not to say you can't have an imagination. If people want to pretend there is a judgement then that's how they roll.

Personally I think it's high time for a judgement on religion itself to which the question is reversed back to its originator.

Hi NM nice to meet you. It depends if you believe the Jewish scriptures or the bible are true or not true. Time will tell I guess who is right and who is wrong. If you cannot prove that the scriptures are not inspired from God, claims that they are not from God are simply something that cannot be proven IMO which means the argument can roll either way. I also believe that some people not all have done some terrible things in the name of religion for which they will be judged. This does not mean that these people were following the scriptures but simply using religion as a guise to do things not condoned by the very scriptures they claim to believe and follow. Another words you shall know them (those who truly follow God) by their fruits. I appreciate your viewpoint though I do not believe it to be true. Thanks for sharing what you believe though.

I would say keep your heart open to the possibility, test all things and hold fast to what is good.

We are to do good to all men and prefer them above our own selves while asking our One God for wisdom in out heart.

I like your answer Tony, kind of like the scripture in Matthew 24:36-40 of the two great commandments to love God and mankind on which all the law and the prophets hang. Or elsewhere in Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatever you would that men should do to you, do you even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. How can we love others though if according to the scriptures we do not have a heart to love but to evil?

I'm actually an ex Christian. I criticize theistic religions quite a bit based on my past experiences with theism for which I make the arguments on forums like this.

Although it may not look like it at times, I will never willingly put down a person for believing of and in itself. Just the premise upon which any belief is based.

Like you said, a person's character is very important for which reflects his or her beliefs. I certainly do acknowledge there are very good people who happen to hold beliefs like Judaism and Christendom.

For me the best judgment is an easy one.

None that requires creative threats concerning a dark future or whatever with throngs of people quivering in their boots in front of the proverbial angry God.

I think concerning all things pleasant and sound, a judgment would be all together non-existent anyways when it comes to determining the character and integrity of the person by which such a judgment would be met.

Hell SZ welcome here. Why do you think they are endless in number? Why do you think people write so much about the Judgement in your view?
I think that there are a significant number of people that wish the end would come. That is why we see it in almost all religions and it is a quite common claim of religious loons of all religions for thousands of years that the end is near. Most just ignore these crazies and go about their way, but every time one comes along quite a few are lured in as followers. The results can be tragic.

Thanks NM, I appreciate your thoughts. I also do not think there is any need to criticise people personally as to what they believe or put others down for having a different view point than I do. I believe if we think we have a truthful understanding on a topic we should be able to discuss it freely and not feel threatened to do so because someone thinks differently to us. I am glad you feel the same way.

Do you think they are just making these claims up or does the source come from elsewhere in your view SZ? Where in religion does this idea come from in your view? I will share my view from the scriptures latter.
