Why prophets of Allah performed miracles, but....!

Why according to Quran, Allah gave power to prophets to perform miracles?
If your answer is, because Allah wanted to give the prophets proofs and evidences of Prophethood, then:
1. How did virgin birth of Jesus serve as a proof, when no body was even able to verify that David was not Jesus father? Remember, there was no DNA test.
2. Even Islamic sources confirm that Jesus resurrected dead people. But when people asked Muhammad to resurrect their fathers, He rejected to do this. How fair is that of God, that He proved Jesus by giving Him power to resurrect, but He did not allow this miracle to be performed by Muhammad?
3. Now for Christian's or atheists, if you say Muhammad was a false prophet, why would He present Jesus as a Messiah who was born from virgin, and had power to resurrect. Would not these, make Jesus even superior than Himself?

As an agnostic (atheist?) I suspect (I don't know as fact) that Muhammed wanted to create a religion that appealed to people of the Abrahamic faiths, so he incorporated their religion into his. There is also evidence showing that many stories in the Quran are taken from existing stories that weren't part of the scriptures which were spreading around the area where he lived. So I think that he heard them and added them to his Quran so that he could show a link between his religion and theirs. I do not really know what his reasoning was for making Jesus greater than himself, because the common interpretations of the Quran are made by their scholars and the Hadiths, but those might not accurately reflect his actual intentions. I don't think that muslims even consider Jesus as superior to Muhammed do they?

So there is a lot of circumstantial evidence but not conclusive evidence.

Well, Allah at one time asked Muslims to face Jerusalem for Qibla and only later to face Mecca. The verse was abrogated after Mohammad got power. Allah changing his mind!

No. Quran doesnt say that. It doesnt say anything of the sort.

1. How did virgin birth of Jesus serve as a proof, when no body was even able to verify that David was not Jesus father? Remember, there was no DNA test.

Quran doesnt say Jesus had a virgin birth. You can infer it, but it doesnt say directly "Virgin birth".

When you say "Islamic sources" what do you mean? There maybe over 1000's of "Islamic sources".

What do you mean "He did not allow". Do you mean that Muhammed wanted to do some miracle and god said "No" but he said "OK" to Jesus?

Anyway the bottomline is that the Quran says that some messengers were different but it is not for us to make a distinction between them. Yet, your question is very vague.

1. Whats the relevance to the OP?
2. What are the two verses you are referring to?

"According to the traditional Muslim view, the Qiblah in the Islamic prophet Muhammad's time was originally the Noble Sanctuary in the city of Jerusalem, similar to Judaism. This Qiblah was used for over 13 years, from 610 CE until 623 CE. Seventeen months after Muhammad's 622 CE arrival in Medina, the Qiblah became oriented towards the Kaaba in Mecca. According to traditional accounts from Muhammad's companions, the change happened very suddenly during the noon prayer in Medina, in a mosque now known as Masjid al-Qiblaṫayn‎, "Mosque of the Two Qiblahs"). Muhammad was leading the prayer when he received revelations from God instructing him to take the Kaaba as the Qiblah (literally, "Turn then Thy face in the direction of the Sacred Mosque."). According to the traditional accounts contained in the hadith and sira, Muhammad, who had been facing Jerusalem, upon receiving this revelation, immediately turned around to face Mecca, and those praying behind him also did so."
Qibla - Wikipedia

The existence of Masjid al-Qiblaṫayn (Mosque of the Two Qiblahs) proves both the things.

So what you wish to discuss has nothing to do with the topic whatsoever?

What do you mean "He did not allow". Do you mean that Muhammed wanted to do some miracle and god said "No" but he said "OK" to Jesus?

Anyway the bottomline is that the Quran says that some messengers were different but it is not for us to make a distinction between them. Yet, your question is very vague.

Here are miracles of Jesus, which includes giving life to the dead:

And (appoint him) a messenger to the Children of Israel, (with this message): "I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah's leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah's leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe." Quran 3:49

But when people asked Muhammad to show them the miracle of resurrection, He did not do it. Here is the verse:

“And when Our clear verses are recited to them, their only argument is to say, ‘Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth! Say: “It is God who gives you life, and then causes you to die; and in the end He will gather you together on Resurrection Day, [the coming of] which is beyond all doubt - but most human beings understand it not" Quran 45:25-26

So, as you see, Allah gave power of so many miracles to Jesus. What was the
Purpose of Allah to give ability to perform miracles to Jesus, such resurrecting dead? Why, when people asked Muhammad to resurrect their father's to prove that He is a true prophet, He did not do it?

Ok, so, you are saying that Muhammad just included the stories from Bible in His Quran.

We can see, not only Muhammad recorded some of the things that were mentioned in the Bible before, but also, He even recorded some encounters that people had with Him, that shows when they asked Him to perform resurrection, He did not agree. How would including the rejection of performing Miracles serve Muhammad? He could simply omit such things from Quran that perhaps cause others to think He was powerless to resurrect. (Though Jesus had such power)

It doesnt say God gave power. It says Biidhnillah. Its God doing the miracles, not Jesus annd God didnt give power, he just did it. So it is wrong to say God gave power because this verse doesnt say it.

But when people asked Muhammad to show them the miracle of resurrection, He did not do it. Here is the verse:

you have assumed this is a discussion between Muhammed and people. The verse doesnt say so. It is a generic statement. As some people did, you have assumed its about Muhammed.

You are misquoting a book brother.

There is no good evidence for any miracles, including supposed prophets of Allah.

Good questions.

I would say that the evidence shows that he got stories from not the bible directly but from stories that were floating around.

I would say that Muhammed preached about the resurrection and refused to perform a resurrection for the same reason that there are Christians and cult leaders alive today who agree that the miracles in the bible happened but say that they don't happen today. Using analogy of today's religions we can see that Christians talk about Jesus raising the dead but make no claim to do it themselves, often saying that they cannot do it. The followers of these religions believe in the resurrection, despite their own leaders not being able to accomplish the feat.

There is even a theological dispute in churches today as to whether spiritual gifts as a whole, miracles, are available to the church today or not.

All the above scriptures show is that Muhammed wanted to promise people the hope of resurrection, yet he didn't have the power himself, so he had to make an excuse. He was basically making an attempt prevent his religion from being falsifiable.

But this is my conclusions based on the evidence.

According to the Quran, Jesus has spoken to the Israelites, directly after his birth when Mary showed him to them. and there are other proofs.

According to Islam, Muhammad has performed all of the miracles of the previous prophets. Just remember the famous incident when a Jewish lady tried to poison him with a cooked goat or so, and the goat was raised from from the dead and has spoken to the prophet. There are many other examples.

Just remember that the true enemies of Muhammad would not believe no matter what. Some unbelievers asked prophet Moses that they want to see Allah with their own eyes, as if Allah is a material thing!!

Muhammad had to practice hi wizardry and prophecy just like libra, libra or jesus was not born a god he had to earn it
and libra was a prince thats the only problem but Muhammad earned his right to be an angle

according to the Shia Muslims, some high rank hypocrites, who claimed to be of his companions have poisoned him.
i don't want to mention their names here.
it is sensitive shia Sunni issue.

also remember that Jesus who raises the dead, he himself was crucified according to the Christians. God's plan has to pass!

OK. I suspect I know the people you are referring to.

The difference between the deaths of Jesus and Muhammed is that Jesus death, according to the Bible, is necessary to free mankind from sin, whereas I don't recall anything being said in the Quran about the benefit of Muhammed needing to die from poison.

According to the Quran, no death or birth of anyone or anything has any bearing on you. You are right.
