Planting trees as solution to climate crisis

Let's say that this study is accurate. How many of those who say that climate change is not a problem because they assume the solution is massive government intervention will change their minds based on this:

Scientists Identify How Many Trees to Plant and Where to Plant Them to Stop Climate Crisis

Around 0.9 billion hectares (2.2 billion acres) of land worldwide would be suitable for reforestation, which could ultimately capture two thirds of human-made carbon emissions.

The Crowther Lab of ETH Zurich has published a study in the journal Science that shows this would be the most effective method to combat climate change.

The Crowther Lab at ETH Zurich investigates nature-based solutions to climate change. In their latest study, the researchers showed for the first time where in the world new trees could grow and how much carbon they would store.

I have no way to evaluate the science.
But it certainly seems like a good idea at first glance

And we don't even need tax increases to pay for it. Just a waste disposal fee on fossil fuels.

Males always knew that their life depended on the Tree of Life.

And it is why Biblical comments place the defined ground fusion conversion attack on self, to have attacked the plant life by changing the natural law of stone.

Its natural fusion.

How religious science had always taught that concept...without Trees we lose our oxygen regeneration.

And explained our atmospheric body as a conclusive ancient philosophical science study their own selves, based on medical wisdom about their baby male life losses.

As a statement comparing the bio cell ovary Genesis to all of its caused attacks.

How a medical journey, discussing cause and effects of nuclear science had been compiled, actually.

And it was factually based on the ideal of the Tree of Life that had been eradicated from off the ground in nuclear attacks.

As referenced in the Russian forest episode, as an instant radiation cause, when new nuclear experiments had been conducted in the late 1800s, and then about 100 value C years later, the incoming blasting proved that space had been cooling from the attack blast of Earth.

Gas release.

The Tree of Life was the basic taught concept that related......Christ regeneration of its spirit related to the symbolism Holy Ox. It related to Holy Water, our over the head baptism by water existence. Holiness.

And they taught that the atmospheric heavenly spirit was a title of Jesus Christ based on a scientific argument purpose, that had titled the Earth heavens as that title by reference.....if you want to argue theosophy for science, the questions had already been answered.

And stated that as out of space Earth irradiation as a historic science attack effect had not yet cooled...2012 was the calculated return of a cold space radiation effect, then life as a cellular health was predicted to demonstrate its miraculous healing and also its aging condition changed....by that radiation finally being blocked out.

As a status that said ABBA, using an alphabeta, alphabetical to maths calculation that said that the Father cloak, meaning the Earth mantle in space would be given back.....to enable the life of a holy male baby, as males are the scientific reasoners of this document back to natural life.

How it was taught and discussed.

And males in science always knew the theme Holy Tree of Life is a needed body in the Garden Nature to keep us all alive. As the teaching of natural relativity and past human male mistakes in science.

Yes, it is a good idea to plant trees whether it is for climate or not.

Planting fruit trees, nut trees, sugar maples, hardwoods, evergreens, teak, exotics, etc, just makes good economic sense.

It's not as effective as people think.

Excessive CO2 in the atmosphere will thicken leaves making them less efficient. it's like being 'fed' too much, you're going to clam up for a bit.

High CO2 levels cause plants to thicken their leaves, which could worsen climate change effects, researchers say

Also was one of the few scientific things I've discovered that help determine whether climate change is in crisis or exaggerated.

Trees are worth planting simply because they're trees.
Of trees I recall, I've planted....
Redbud
Scotch pine
Norway spruce
Dawn redwood
Bald cypress
Catalpa
Oaks
Cleveland pear
Japanese larch
Maple
Black pines
Blue spruce
Austrian pine
Kwanzan cherry
Crabapple
Pink & white flowering dogwood
Tulip magnolia

So, okay. Instead of being consistently negative, offer up something positive -- propose a solution. The fact is, and this is a well-documented fact CO2 levels are rising. Nothing we're doing is stopping that, and much that we're doing is exacerbating it.

Ok. I've always wanted an orange tree someday in my backyard.

I don't have to shovel my driveway as much.

And I get to go outside in my t-shirt whenever nature gives a discount on winter.

Another positive thing is I don't think we're going to turn into Venus anytime soon.

Lastly I thought your idea was really good because I thought of it as well along with others I would think so I think a lot of people are on the right track with that kind of thinking.

Also I think the socialist democrats should stop doing compulsory punitive type legislation and provide more incentive-based legislation to get people more eco-friendly. That would end up on a more positive note.

Oh and lastly science is our friend....

Scientists Just Created a Bacteria That Eats CO2 to Reduce Greenhouse Gases

Maybe that will help brighten things up a bit.

Alas, I fear planting a bunch of trees, while a good thing, may be too little, too late.

Cool. Several groups are quite interested in this study, and have proposed tree planting drones to speed up the process:

Alas, I fear planting a bunch of trees, while a good thing, may be too little, too late.

Alas, the chicken littles are at it again.

Look....WAAAY back before the nutcases could blame humanity and get all politically correct, going 'woe is me..." over everything, it seems that humanity completely deforested the British Isles. Every inch of it. No trees.

And then humans replanted those islands. Ever been to the 'New Forest?" I have. Lots of 'old growth' trees and environments there, and every single tree there descended from one planted by people.

The USA has more trees now than it did in 1600. We are planting new trees, the USA and Europe, as fast as we can. I've planted a few of 'em myself.

"Too little, too late" is an abysmally lousy attitude to take. Why not just take an overdose of percocet and get the whole thing over with?

Go out and plant a few trees, instead. Be a part of the solution rather than an old grump telling everybody we can't do it. Because we can.

I do NOT think that the 'government' can. From what I can see, 'the government' (pretty much any of 'em) does a really poor job of almost everything it tries, from healthcare to environmentalism to welfare. Private groups do a much better job, per capita.

So be a 'private' doer of good, and/or join one of those private groups, and, well, plant some more trees. I know a good spot to do that...though, quite frankly, I think that one should let nature take care of fire areas. Nature seems to do a pretty good job of reclaiming burned areas. However, I know of a few areas that were cut down by people which could use some help. Go find one.

And stop griping.

JMO, of course.

If peope go from 2 'cars' to 1, would be a better solution

Why?

NO matter what, they can only drive one of 'em at a time.
"Ceiling on desires" is easiest solution

(I quoted 'cars', was an example)

I'm a very practical, and very private, environmentalist.
I also 'own' two cars. a five year old Audi that I got because I need to drive my disabled parents around, and a 2015 Hyundai Accent with GREAT gas mileage that I drive everywhere else.

But...I can still only drive one of 'em at a time, and a parked car doesn't emit greenhouse gasses.

It's not like owning four houses and keeping 'em all open and using fossil fuels to heat and cool them, like some of the more outspoken leftist so-called environmentalist leaders do.

Planting trees is not the solution to climate change. It is one method to mitigate the speed and effects. In the end there is no surrogate to stop burning fossil fuel.
