Obviously the Bible is going to need to be adjusted for future language drift and changes and meanings of words.

Now the Bible is brought about by divine inspiration right? At least it is so as it is said.

Who are those people now , or is nobody left with divine inspiration?

Names of those people are a+.

Who is in charge of the reproof and correction of the holy Bible in the modern era?

Lets let Trump do it.
I'm sure he sees himself as overly qualified.

Paul gives suggestions to a person with knowledge, that person is in a stage of achieving perfection and knows how apply information. Nothing is different today.

I would think somebody would have to be selected. I mean look at all the versions out today. There's got to be names.

The reason why I made this thread is what exactly is divine inspiration, and how exactly does it work when it comes to the chosen scriptures that Christians accept and to whom?

Another reason is that I'm presenting a challenge to the claim of divine inspiration. I don't think it exists. Ever.

You are entitled to believe whatever you wish...isn't that a good thing? It means that if someone gives you enough rope......well you know how it ends. :D

Interpretation is everything as another thread has informed us. But the inspiration for scripture is as old as scripture itself. The canons were closed very early in the history of both the Jews and Christianity.

All you need for accurate interpretation is for the language scholars to tell us what the Bible writers said in the original language.

One example is Genesis 25:29-31......

KJV renders this...
"29 And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:

30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright."

A more modern translation renders it....
"On one occasion Jacob was boiling some stew when Eʹsau returned from the field exhausted. 30 So Eʹsau said to Jacob: “Quick, please, give me some of the red stew that you have there, for I am exhausted!” That is why his name was Eʹdom. 31 To this Jacob said: “First sell me your right as firstborn!"

Not difficult when you know what the original said, is it.

Another example is Jesus expression..."Suffer the little children to come unto me"
This is on the gravestones of children who died from debilitating illnesses, yet it has nothing to do with "suffering".

It is rendered in modern translations..."Let the little children come to me" because the apostles imagined that Jesus would not want to be bothered by small children....nothing was further from the truth.

No one has to determine what is inspired scripture anymore because it hasn't changed since the canon of inspired scripture was first established. God knows what he wants his word to convey....and today we have greater access to God's word in more languages than ever. You realize that it means that there are no excuses now.....

No. The history of the Jews goes back 5000 years. They closed their canon in the Common Era. That’s not “very early” in their history.

Untrue. One also needs responsible exegesis.

Except that’s not what the canon was developed to do.

If what you say is true, I would think the only people that need be involved are linguists.
