Christianity vs. Islam

Jesuslightoftheworld

The world has nothing to offer us!
I am a Christian and I have on occasion read parts of the Quran. This is the major difference between the God of the Quran (Allah) and the God of the Bible and it is significant. In the Bible, God first loved us; unconditionally. No matter what we do He still loves us. In the Quran, Allah’s love is conditional upon obedience. Obey first, then He will love you. Anyone have any thoughts?

You should probably read the whole thing.

They both turned him into something he's not, deviating from how he is in Judaism. Christianity looked at Satan and created the devil; Islam did not correct this mistake. And, also, both do have those who believe in predestination, which is a terribly hateful and spiteful belief that ultimately is saying god creates people with the full knowledge and intention of making them just to send them to hell (something else they created as the location and concept are foreign to Judaism).

So why commit genocide by killing the entire human and animal population except a buddy and said buddies family and about 18 million animals?
Why sodom and gomorrah?
Why condone conquest, capture and killing, theft, slavery and rape if those who do not worship the christian/jewish version of the abrahamic god.

Doesn't sound do unconditional to me. In fact the condition is plain to see, worship me or die

Hell isn't permanent in Islam.

The following verse, in my opinion, very simply proves that hell is not eternal.

(7:40) Surely, those who reject our revelations and are too arrogant to uphold them, the gates of the sky will never open for them, nor will they enter Paradise until the camel passes through the needle's eye. We thus requite the guilty.

It's still a Christian invention that didn't exist at all until they turned the angel Satan into the Devil and god's arch nemesis.
Hey SW, I'm the most loving person ever.
I mean it, I'll die for you.
I love you so much, please be my partner.
You can say no if you want,
But bear in mind if you do I'll boil the skin off your bones.

Lol good luck finding any muscle.
Ill just use my anatomy coloring book. Note, this method may requiring me to paint your innards to match my book so i know what I'm slicing. Don't worry though. I'm well color coordinated, and I love cooler colors like blue and purple. So you'll be a colorful and pretty walking muscle zombie looking thingy.

"Allah", "Eloheim", and "God" are One and the same but in different languages [Arabic, Hebrew, and English respectively]. The differences are in actuality differences of opinion.

IMO both faiths paint their god as anything BUT loving.

I think only the Christian God judges man by the purity of his heart,
And not by his beliefs.

It's a little unfair to be making sweeping judgements on the quality of the Qur'an without having read the whole thing. It also essential to make some attempt at understanding the terms in which a religious tradition understands and interprets its texts.

God love is unconditional, but not unconditionally to our ultimate benefit of salvation which is dependant on our cooperation with divine grace. (And yes, obedience to the divine will is a part of that cooperation).

As I heard a rabbi say once: "You're praying to our dysfunctional father who art in heaven."
