Enigmas of the human brain!

Hope you're all enjoying your time on the forum today. Nice and sunny here in Oz and hot weather is on its way ...

We are constantly studying the human brain. However, so many mysteries remain that science still has not managed to answer. A few things have been uncovered, though, and they’re incredibly fascinating.

The human brain represents only 2% of the human body but consumes almost 20% of the total oxygen and 20% of the energy that enters the body. If we could connect an electrode to the brain, its energy would light a measly 60-watt bulb. However, this mysterious organ has transformed the entire world.

Question Everything
As this is a religious forum, here is another interesting watch to consider for the human brain - why are some so set and determined about things? while others are not? what constitutes religious experiences within the brain?

Thanks for the video!

I have often wondered similarly about our various experiences ...

Yes this is a religious forum but it does have many non-religious sections.

Herd instincts - the strangest thing, something in our brain... I'm a recovering ex-Mormon, and I experienced what is in that video - now I question my brain, question what is real. Like bees programmed to follow their queen, humans following a religious or political leader - some kind of crazy thing.

When is someone considered crazy?

Have you ever had it - a brain glitch? You get some piece of information that is so horrible, so against everything you rely on and believe... to dissociate yourself from it, your brain is unable to process it? To dissect what we would like to be true with what is actually true, to understand emotions and feelings, self-awareness, other-awareness - the brain truly is an incredible organ.

Good question!

Officially I am crazy - diagnosed in 1983 with paranoid schizophrenia.

But the more I look at the world the more it seems to me that I am one of the FEW who isn't crazy!
