The return of Jesus - Ahadith based evidence ??

firedragon

Veteran Member
I would like to request from those who believe that Jesus will return in some form or the other based on Ahadith, could you quote Authentic, Sarih hadith from any of the books of ahadith?

My intention is to understand what ahadith are quoted as evidence to the topic. Clear-cut evidence, not inference. I would state my objections if the evidence is not clear, or if its not Sarih. Please do quote authentic ahadith only. This is a very wide area as some say there over a million ahadith and maybe even more. So please be kind and considerate to the topic and criteria only to make it an expedient and valuable takeout.

(I made my intention clear so that one would not make ad hominem about intentions when i respond)

Thank you very much.

I may cut some part of them if it's too long but i let the links if you want to read them entirely or want to know their precise names.
Please understand that we are not talking about believing blindly every hadiths but that plenty of them were collected.

Sahih Muslim :

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about?
They (the Companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour.

Thereupon he said: It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, (...)

Sahih Bukhari :

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The Hour will not be established until the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you as a just ruler, he will break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the Jizya tax. Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it (as charitable gifts).

Hadith - Book of Oppressions - Sahih al-Bukhari - Sunnah.com - Sayings and Teachings of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم)

Sahih Muslim :

(...) We said: Allah's Messenger, you made a mention of the Dajjal (...)
Thereupon he (ﷺ) said: (...) He would appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and would spread mischief right and left. O servant of Allah! adhere (to the path of Truth).
(...)
He would then call (that young man) and he will come forward laughing with his face gleaming (with happiness) and it would be at this very time that Allah would send Jesus, son of Mary, and he will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels.

(...)He would then search for him (Dajjal) until he would catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd and would kill him. (...)
Allah would reveal to Jesus these words: I have brought forth from amongst My servants such people against whom none would be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur. And then Allah would send Gog and Magog and they would swarm down from every slope.

Brother. I didnt tell you your beliefs are blind. Thanks for the quotes.

And what's the isnad of these ahadith you quoted?

Please be more clear i'm sorry i don't understand what you are asking me about

Sure. Brother, isnad is the chain of narration that take an ahadith back to it's original narrator. Sarih means it goes back to the immediate companions who narrated directly from the prophet.

There are many ahadith that speak about the return of jesus, Dajjal, gog magog etc. I'm asking for authentic ahadith that are solid without any problems. Sarih and sahih.

The 'return of Jesus' is central to the concept of progressive continuous universal Revelation that is the foundation of the Baha'i Faith

As I said in the beginning of my post i cut some part even the names (which i know are very important) just so you can read more clearly the hadiths.
I didn't want it to be too long.
But there's all the links just under each hadith so you can check by yourself their names.

Bro. I checked nevertheless. They dont fit the category.

Anyway I feel that it is too difficult to get the criteria I asked for and it's unfair.

Why ? The second one is narrated from Abu Hurraira so this is sarih as you asked for

Second one? Brother. 4 out of 5 ahadith about the return of jesus is from abu hurraira.

Quoting any huraira or anyone for that matter doesnt make it sarih. Doesnt even make it sahih, Hasan, mathrook or anything. That's not the way its analysed.

Many religions brother. Many. I understand that.

Progressive Revelation would believe in an organic spiritual evolution that involves all of humanity. The secular view is this relationship is a natural social evolution describing the relationships in the history of the cultures of humanity. I do not consider the alternative of the claim of exclusiveness of individual religions and belief systems a viable alternative.

I don't understand. I only quoted one hadith from Abu Huraira. Anyway what's wrong with him ?
What more do you want ? It's a companion of the Prophet. Why it's not sarih ?

@InvestigateTruth has studied this in greater detail than most of us, He may be able to offer some for you.

RF has been very useful as I understood what you required for the chain of narration. What we must also consider is that it has to also tie back into the Quran. Thus if we find a strong and substantiated Ahadith, we also know the Quran supports it.

Reading your discussion with @Pastek, i think you are trying to say, it is not possible to prove those Hadiethes are authentic, because it is not possible to prove the chains of narrators are legitimate.
I mostly agree with this. But, that does not refute that those Hadithes can be authentic. It may not be possible to prove them based on their chains of narrators.

I did not speak about absolute truth. I spoke of Sarih/Sahih ahadith. Even the so called most authentic ahadith, Mutawathir, Sahih, anything could be unauthentic based on Akal, and Mukaranathun mai furqaan. All of this is possible.

I did not intend to discuss the usul al hadith here brother. I know that even a tarika hadith can be sahih. It could even be completely Sarih. But based on what is that? Is that based on taqlid, Akal which is banned by some of the mainstream schools like the Shafi and its descendants? Whats the ilm used in this?

thats why i asked for hadith that fits the criteria of Sarih and Sahih.
