Very good. Any kiss of any kind. But, especially a long sexy one.
At my age, long, sexy kisses are in my past. But if my youth were suddenly restored, if I wanted to focus on the feeling of a woman's kiss, I'd close my eyes. If I wanted to connect with her while kissing, I'd keep my eyes open.

You are young! I am almost 64. The man who keeps his eyes open is 82.
Yeah, well, my wife died of cancer 3 years ago and to be frank I simply don't have the urge to start all that sort of thing again with someone else. I've had a long and varied enough sex life as it is and I look back on the lovely girls I have known (in the ahem biblical sense) with some pride and satisfaction. It's enough.

I think it is a fear of connection that I have because even when I talk to someone, my eyes are open, but not seeing.

And, you do not remember if you kissed your wife with your eyes open or shut? Please, know that I mourn your loss.

I lost my husband of thirty years. He divorced me. But, my heart wasn't happy to live alone for the rest of my life so I gave a man my number, and here i am!

I think it might be a little freaky to kiss someone on the lips but with your eyes open. What do you think?

But it depends on the kiss and who with

I selected closed because thats how i kiss hubby.

The kids, it usually a peck on the cheek, eyes open

Then there are bisses, cheek to cheek kissing, eyes open

My new man friend who kisses with his eyes open showers me with exaggerated compliments but I can not take those to heart (though they do make me smile). So, @Sinncubus-74 you need not take his compliments to you to heart. It is your heart that does lead you. Guard it! Psalm 4:23

Read this. Love is...1 Corinthians 13:4-5

Always compare that with you you might get naked with.
At 18 I believed that I would be fine too. But, it didn't pan out that way. But, just learn from your mistakes and you will be OK.
Current boyfriend is actually not my first love, I've experienced heartbreak in the past and have learned a lot from it about my standards and what's best for me. I didn't become available until I'd become self-respecting enough to value my happiness over the desire to not be alone or please someone else. I'm currently the happiest I've ever been romantically.

Good for you! It seemed to me that you said you are having a long-distance first encounter. I am saying that not all is what it seems to be. You know that. Right?

Men have to read about how to do this right or be told. Its not automatic, however I gather there are analogous experiences which can help. 1. experience with paper scissors rock 2. Tai Chi Push Hands practice 3. Rehearsing the villain parts of James Bond films 4. Dancing the Cha Cha (Bruce Lee's first martial art)

Anybody else know anything that helps?

I think what I said about the kiss was misleading - the past relationship that didn't work out was long distance, I never saw them in person by the time it was over. The other heartbreaks, while mostly involving people I knew in person, involved rejection and the like from people I had strong feelings for and really thought were the mystical "one". Hence why I haven't kissed yet.

Through the screen. We're divided by an ocean at the moment, long distance relationship. I hope we last long enough for him to be the one I find this out with. :p He always talks about how pretty he thinks my lips are.
