Hey, I've been lurking these forums, wanted to sign up for a while now. I guess, being that one ditzy occultist friend who likes to talk their friends' (and sometimes random people in YouTube comments... happens to the best of us!) ears off about magick, I'd definitely like having such an open-minded environment to discuss those things on. I also hope to find some similarly-minded people.
I was a Christian for the majority of my life, had a painful transition out of it because of personal incompatibility with the religion and a growing dislike for its god, and traumatic experiences with bigoted rhetoric within Christian communities. I'm much happier now that I've left, it just wasn't for me.
At present, I'm a left-hand-path witch, specifically a chaos magician, as well as a newbie Luciferian. I practice sigil magick, divination, spellcraft, thoughtform creation, and a little bit of sex magick.
It took a long time for me to ease into calling myself a Luciferian, because, despite my admiration for Lucifer as a guiding figure (and for me personally, a deity) putting me under the definition, I have a long-time fear of potentially misinforming people about things I'm new to/haven't done enough reading on, so because I have a ton to study about Luciferianism I get kind of nervous about talking about it with people. But I think finding more experienced people to talk with would be very helpful. Gotta start somewhere.
I may or may not at some point also seek guidance from entities from other belief systems (so I don't start rambling again, my belief in chaos magick strongly correlates to my belief about gods, "belief as a tool"/"nothing is true, all is permitted"), so I'm really happy there's a Pagan subforum.
Okay, I've talked enough. Very much looking forward to contributing to this forum.
