I am pleased to hear that you now consider yourself a JW Frank, but the designation is more than a label to us. Since every Witness of Jehovah must dedicate their life to God and to the doing of his will first in life, we undergo a serious study of the Bible so that when we take our message to others, (a command from Jesus) we must all speak in agreement. (1 Corinthians 1:10) Unity and love are the identifying marks of genuine Christianity.

Have you asked for a Bible study yet? That is the first step. You have to know what the Bible teaches otherwise you can’t pass on this knowledge to others.

Now...on the topic of reincarnation.....this requires belief in an immortal soul...which is something the Bible does not teach.

Resurrection, on the other hand, is a return to life for those who have died. Christ paid for their sins, so that those in the grave will hear Jesus call them out of their resting place, like he did with Lazarus. (John 5:28-29; John 11:11-14) Obviously they will be given new bodies, (it’s called the “re-creation” or the “regeneration” in the Bible) but all will be imbued with all the personality traits and memories that they had before. They will know themselves and their loved ones. The reunions will be wonderful times, just as they were in the Bible accounts.

There are actually two resurrections spoken about in the Bible.....one is for those chosen to rule as ‘kings and priests’ with Jesus in heaven...a “first resurrection” (Revelation 20:6) and then, once Jesus has judged the world and cleansed the earth of all wickedness, he will restore all the dead to life.

Reincarnation is not possible if there is no immortal soul.....resurrection is possible because no immortal soul is necessary.

I hope that helps.

I don't get how the soul is immortal in christianity if you read Matthew 10:28.
The doctrine of an immortal soul is not from the Bible, but grafted into certain verses. The ancient Jews had no such teaching and since Jesus was Jewish, he never taught it.

It was borrowed from Greek Platonism. The Jews ended up adopting it too...like some kind of lost puppy.

When we die, there is nothing of us alive....we “sleep” unconsciously like Lazarus did......until Jesus wakes us up to resume life here where God put us in the first place. (John 11:11-14)
