Dharmic experiences

Have any Dharmic practitioners have experiences in their Practice not explained by just eating cereal or driving to work? What others would call coinsidences?

Regardless what you relate the question to, the context refers to Dharmic practitioners and their view and experiences.

I found it a weird coinsidence that I was thinking of going back into my former Nichiren practice but rather Practice solo. After a couple days or so reading and all (I haven't Practiced for years [not change religions just stopped practicing]) and one SGI member I was with at least near over five or so years ago called and asked if I wanted to chant at a meeting. Although I said no, I thought that was weird.

Even on a deeper level than coinsidences, have you had those type or is it different? If so, how so?

Does seeing things with the third eye count toward this OP?

SGI. That explains it.

Stick with Nichiren Shu or Nichiren Soshu .

That said, oh @Engyo! Why hast thou forsaken me?

Incidentally chant doesn't cure cancer or solve world hunger. ;O}

Catching glimpses of Satori now and again is much more effective but even then, the most common activity or practice is a dharma experience.

That includes chanting, but be careful of the buzz. I hear it causes irreparable tinnitus.

Hate to say this, but it happens so much it's practically normal to me. I'm rarely surprised any more.

I actually left SGI (and ShoShu). Their politics is horrible.

I rarely have interesting coincedences. Most would say it's from god. But since we are all human, I assume others would have it too. Without interpreting ones experiences by another's religious context.

Do you?

It's about Dharmic view no one else outside that.
Yes, i answer within Dharmic teaching :) The third eye will open when the cultivating is done correct, and the ability is open up :)
I can see some yes, But on a very limited level. But it kind of is not a high priority for me to gain abilities like this.
It was more a question if it was this you meant with the OP :)

Much deeper stuff happens a lot but not often. I just say thank you and let it be. Shrugs.

I did try to associated with a cause and I gave up. It is what it is.

I don't believe in coincidence, so something else must be at work. I do believe in intersecting universes and worlds, and the gods possibly being more active in our lives than we think. I had an experience two or three weeks ago that seemed too "orchestrated" to be random chance or coincidence, which as I said, I don't believe in. It was not an isolated incident. These sorts of things happen all the time.

It is. Thanks. Wanted to hear other opinions than abrahamic. I'm not around Dharmic practitioners and those I am we have a severe language barrier in both English and .. can't think the language.

What is another name for third eye?

Hm. This reminds me of what I heard someone else say: coincidences are god's way of communication (roughly remembered). It took out the idea there must be something apart from mundane in order to be worthy of divinity.

Thanks

Wisdom eye, Some call it to have clairvoyant ability, but those abilities does only arise if the third eye is open :)

Another comment. How do you tell the difference given the amount of occurrences?

How would you define experiences that are seperate from the everyday deeds? (If they weren't seperate, how do you know there are too many to count?)

Personally, I don't worry about telling the difference. Some are coincidence I suppose. Others aren't. Let's take thinking about someone, and them appearing, for instance. Sometimes it's coincidence. Other times it isn't. I wouldn't know. But when it's some person you only see once a year normally, and it happens to happen, sure. Premonition is like that.

I can see cosmic order in nature, take it for what you will, but I have very pleasant illusions... use your illusions.

Could be. I honestly feel things like that, deeper and not, are just embedded in life (in one context or another). Our way of life, religion, practice, whatever we call it helps us understand and live it but by the end of the day without culture, language, and practice (without people) life still happens. If we didn't separate it, we'd have no religion, practice, etc because they would all be one so much that, like eating cereal, it wouldn't be worth the evangelizing or the privacy. I could ask what one had for breakfast, and they'd tell me just the same as what they did when they prayed.

But a lot of us do put things in their sacred-place. When I do that, I get uncomfortable. But, others? Christians (notice other abrahamics don't do it) sing it up to the hills what they believe is sacred but if everything is one and all of that, how can one really tell the difference insomuch it's one can say "I am Hindu" and on the other token it doesn't mean anything if all is one.

I understand black/white thinking since I'm around it and its my culture. When it's all one, I wonder how anything can be divine in itself (or be a "religion") if everything is one. (That, and do people ponder about their own religious theology or just go by day without "that type" of self reflection?)
