If God could tell you one thing, what would you want it to be?

God is supposed to be the all-powerful, all-knowing, all-present creator of the Universe. If you got the chance to talk with god, what would you want him (or her or it or them) to say to you? What would you most want to hear?

I'm not sure why this has landed in a joke section. Anyway, I loved the video.

Do rather than say. How about - Hi God, could you consider giving us mirror lives - that is, we ramp up to our maximum in old age and then ramp back down again. Thus giving us back some of the health we used to have even at the cost of that knowledge and experience (haha) we might have gained. From my perspective this would be an excellent idea. And no doubt any God could arrange this without breaking a sweat. :D

Its is only because she doesn't know its God that she is able to evaluate the words for herself and choose to receive them on the basis of their value alone, and only then can she receive the reward of the lesson. If she knew it was God she'd accept the words without question, learn little or nothing and would also not deserve any extra fries.

I'd ask whether he felt human morality should include dictates to be reverent to Himself, and if not, then ask Him what the 10 Commandments were really all about.

As for the video - what Morgan Freeman says sounds good/wise/insightful, but it is really just garbage. Here's why - a person praying for "courage" ALREADY HAS "opportunity" to be courageous! They wouldn't be asking for it if the opportunity to need it hadn't already presented itself! A person praying for patience ALREADY HAS "opportunity" to express/utilize patience - otherwise they would not be asking. What Morgan Freeman says is precisely this: WHEN ASKED, GOD WILL DO NOTHING. Because the things he's saying he would be "providing" are AREADY THERE. Opportunity is there already. Done. And I agree wholeheartedly with Morgan Freeman's assessment of God's involvement in anything. He's not going to provide anything that isn't already there. As far as I am concerned, this is fact, and the idea that theists apparently just eat this stuff up I find particularly hilarious.

I would want him to tell me how he can make a butterfly, a horsefly, a dragonfly, but not pigs fly.

Beat me to it. Let's split it...

I'd really respect a God who decided to prove his existence by telling a billion non-believers the lotto numbers.

1) They'd all check the numbers and be amazed, even if they didn't put a ticket on.
2) A half billion non-believers might chuck on a ticket, only to split the pool and win about 3c each.

It proves God's existence...well...kinda...and shows a sense of humour too.
