Tony.....
That law would be enacted as soon as it could be enforced, in a Baha'i World!
It's not a problem today, and with any luck it never will be...... I would prefer that my umpty-great grandkids will be free of such oppressions .
Haha. But I must say that the Kithab I Akdhas does use the word "Munafiq" and tells you not to be.
Second, it also uses the word "Allah" every where.
Just saying.
So, I figure, after 146 years of Bahaullah, "Kitab-i-Aqdas" (a core book of Bahaullah's thoughts) has become obsolete, and is at the whims of UHJ. Right, please?Choosing laws at your whim. That is what Islam calls being 'munafiq' (Why bristle at the name of a religion which was started by one whom you accept as Nabi-ul-Khatm? Other religion! Is Islam an 'other religion' for you?). All the laws given by Bahaullah are 146 years old. What remains and what is discarded? And who does that now since all the three, Bahaullah, Abdul Baha and Shoghi Effendi are dead.

It is end of Bahaullah and his religious/non-religious concepts.Right, please?

Baha'u'llah was a practising Muslim prior to accepting the Bab and then giving a Revelation. He wrote fluently in both Arabic and Persian.
So I accept what you are just saying

Thats not the reason. The reason is language.
Brother. I think you should not make statements like this. Anyway, moving past that, can you copy paste the verses 189 and 190 here? Then you will see.

The Universal House of Justice chooses which laws to enact and when.Choosing laws at your whim. That’s like saying all Muslims are extremists."Choosing laws at your whim."
Yes, and I understand that is a good summation of Bahaism people.

I personally will embrace any direction on this law that the Universal House of Justice may give in the future, as may your great grandchildren, but no one that is not

O members of parliaments throughout the world! Select ye a single language for the use of all on earth, and adopt ye likewise a common script. God, verily, maketh plain for you that which shall profit you and enable you to be independent of others. He, of a truth, is the Most Bountiful, the All-Knowing, the All-Informed. This will be the cause of unity, could ye but comprehend it, and the greatest instrument for promoting harmony and civilization, would that ye might understand! We have appointed two signs for the coming of age of the human race: the first, which is the most firm foundation, We have set down in other of Our Tablets, while the second hath been revealed in this wondrous Book.

It hath been forbidden you to smoke opium. We, truly, have prohibited this practice through a most binding interdiction in the Book. Should anyone partake thereof, assuredly he is not of Me. Fear God, O ye endued with understanding!
Seams like that. Corrupted "Word of Allah".So, I figure, after 146 years of Bahaullah, "Kitab-i-Aqdas" (a core book of Bahaullah's thoughts) has become obsolete, and is at the whims of UHJ. Right, please?

Its important to understand that it was predominantly English speaking Baha’is from North America who spread the Baha’i Faith throughout the planet initiated under Shoghi Effendi’s ministry, particularly during the 10 year crusade in the twentieth century. The Baha’is in Persia were hamstrung through oppression and restrictions. So Western culture and the English language have become a much more important part of our Baha’i culture than Islamic culture and Arabic. How many Baha’is here on RF speak Arabic or have grown up with Islam? We’re mostly English speaking from a Christian background.
Do you follow an idea or directive from the Bahai"authorities" if the words and intent of the idea the present goes against your innate and learned sense of morality? Is there a limit to your subservience?
I have yet to understand what Bahai believe as far as these religious laws for this time and age or how exactly they are new and improved.
Can you please name and explain ten of these new updated laws that, if we all ditch our own beliefs and voluntairliy follow the The Prophet in the future, will save all of us animals?
If this is too many questions to answer in one post, please feel free to use as many pages as necessary. Thanks.
Who uses opium now? There are so many other nice things. And Allah never knew about 'cocaine' (or about South America) otherwise Bahaullah would have talked about it.Opium.
Of course not. However we are on an English speaking forum discussing religious concepts and ideas in English. Religion needs to adapt to different languages and cultures as culture either embraces or rejects a religion. The Baha’i Faith has progressive values that are easily communicated in word and deed that enables it to blend in harmoniously with Western Culture.Brother. I get all of that.
But that does not mean your book was written in some other language. And you cannot erase simple words like Allah in the book. Even if the whole world stops speaking arabic, still the book will have those words. You cannot erase it. And its just language. Nothing more, nothing less.
