Kingdoms in the Bible: more than meets the eye?

Revelation 17:12–14 names Jesus the King of Kings. Should it be any surprise that Christ's government should name the Kings under a King of Kings?
How can Religion anoint other forms of Government? The Dutch had a Republic. Venice had a Republic. Lord Protector Cromwell proclaimed "God is King". Divine Rule?

Its not in the 10 commandments like is not stealing servants. Exodus 20 . What if a ten commandment was to obey the King or the government? Its strongly worded elsewhere. Jesus Christ's coming Kingdom is of God's Kingdom where he will be worshipped and sung choirs and hymns forever in praise.

Does anywhere really praise the King anymore?
There are many innovations in Government obviously. How many has organized religion allowed itself to promote and commission?
Of course without all the Reformed Churches, the governments taking over from Spanish Empire would have stayed Spanish Hapsburg in Netherlands, England, and Scotland. This is similar to Spain itself only existing from Catholic Reconquista. The Roman Church promotes and arranges the Roman Empire. The Orthodox Church supports the Byzantine Empire or the Russian Empire. Energies of Churches form and support these types of government.

How simple can I make it? More variety and Nationalist and unique splotches of government have occurred in the mid 19th century and early 20th century of Human Invention.

Fall of Byzantium 1495
French Republic - 1812
Mexican or Brazil independence
Communist Russia - 1912
Nazi Germany - 1933

These countries having made their own governments tend to never rejoin a community of governments and nations overseen by religion.

So every Christian in the entire world was under a Feudal Kingdom and a Christian Papacy or Orthodox Patriarch from 400 ad to 1800 ad arguably the only acceptable government to the Christian Church. Nice to make your acquaintance. Genghis Khan wrote the Pope the 'prince of the princes' to surrender.

It helps if you use the quote system otherwise the people you respond to get no alerts.

Now, this post is a little clearer but the videos you post are just a distraction.

Why is this an issue? It was foretold by Daniel that God's people would be under Gentile domination until the "Gentile times" have run their course.

In a dream given to Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar, a march of world powers was foretold. (Daniel ch 2) He was told that Babylon was the first kingdom represented....followed by Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome and finally Britain, later allied with the USA. There are no kings or kingdoms mentioned after this, except God's Kingdom, which was to eliminate corrupt human kingdoms and replace them.

When Jesus walked the earth, Rome was the dominant world power. He never advocated meddling in politics. But his instruction to his disciples was to be "no part of the world" as he was (John 17:16)....the reason being that he identified satan as the god and "ruler of this world". (John 14:30; John 16:33) When he tempted Jesus, we saw the devil himself admit that world rulership had been "delivered" to him and that he could give political authority to whomever he pleased. (Luke 4:5-8) Jesus would have denied that claim if it wasn't true....but he didn't.

So, the position of all Christians towards the ruling power of the day, should be the same as Jesus advocated. We have to live in the world, but be no part of it...politically, morally, or spiritually. We are to be law-abiding, non-political, peace makers in any way we can.

To be "friends with the world", by participating in the bloodshed of war or even tacitly supporting the world in its unchristian activities, is to be an "enemy of God". (James 4:4)

When Jesus taught us to pray, the coming of God's Kingdom was paramount.....as King of that Kingdom, only he will see to it that God's will is "done on earth as it is in heaven". Man's attempts at self rule have all failed dismally, so as these last days come to a close, it will all come to a climax. All human opposers will be dealt with, and God will rule the world as he intended at the beginning. (Isaiah 55:11)

Where's it say Christians are going to be weak under heel? Then the bully walks buy tears it down with a bunch of other stuff all in the same day. Rejecting 1500 years, 90% of Christianity, because it developed organization and defended itself. Why is it weak under your modern Nationalist inventions, republic, communist, socialist, fascist, political whatever.
