What do they smell like to you?
Why do you smell them?

Yes, I do all the time. It's a 'sweet' kind of smell.

I have a Bichon Frise.

Oh the why question. We noticed the smell in our last dog and wanted to find out where it was located.

If they smell like corn chips it means your dog has an infection and needs treatment. Its not a bad smell for a dog, but its not good for them.

Added: I've no idea what they are supposed to smell like, because I usually can't get past the smell of the rest of the dog.

Dogs bodies do have an unpleasant smell. Even Hypoallergenic dogs like the Bichon Frise... Which is why Hazel goes to the groomer once or twice a month.

That's not what the internet told me. Who am I going to believe. The internet or one person on the internet?

Yes, and if they smell like "corn chips", they need to be washed with soap, to prevent bacterial growth. We were informed by our vet about this.

I wouldn't believe me if I were you. I would go to the vet, get the straight info and report it here at corn chip central.

I don't smell a dog on purpose. But I have a very developed sense of smell. If there's any other smell I can feel it.
