FAGGOTS- FIREMAN SAM AND NON-HALA MEAT!

Bob Jones

Prove It!
Faggots and potatoes? An old and traditional recipe served in Wales has become the latest victim of Liberal Fascist who seek world domination. Google has dropped restaurants in Wales for advertisement purposes due to this word. What Next?
Fireman Sam! A very successful mascot has now become another victim of the Liberal elites who interpret this as male domination! What Next?
In Australia, a local butcher store made a joke by placing a small sign on his front door. (words to this effect) Non Hala certified meat here! Well naturally members of the religion of peace complained only to be directed to an agency which supervises public advertisement. Yes the butcher was sanctioned by the board.
What is the solution? I would suggest to the United Kingdom and also to the common wealth, a written law protecting all speech. Good Luck!

Do people in the UK still call cigarettes '****'? Note that no country protects "all speech" but there is no doubt the political correctness (or whatever you call this) is getting out of hand.

Edit: Hah, it looks like one cannot type the word ******* here.

Well to be fair, I would not be one to order “faggots and potatoes” loudly at any restaurant. At least not sober. Might engender some err raised eyebrows.
Words have meaning, meanings that change due to common parlance. That’s how language works? Since the word ****** is a slur, probably a good idea to change the recipe wording. Or at least say it with a very thick accent no one can understand.

What’s the deal with Fireman Sam?
He’s been a tool for Satan since I watched him as a tot. Allegedly.

I live in Australia. What butcher is this?
And yes, it’s generally not great business sense to joke about potential customer’s preferences. At least not on signs. Text on a ad doesn’t usually inherently convey sarcasm, like one’s speech tone or inflection.
That was kind of dumb for the butcher to do so.

Easy, just be aware that what you say does not offend anyone.

Yes Faggots is a slang for a smoke.

Burger King in South Africa is dropping "ham" from the word "hamburger" to avoid offending muslims.

I have read that also.
I think some of the worst I have read in the past months was a pig farm locate near Mulheim,Germany. The farm has been there for the longest time, when members of the religion of peace complained that 300 meters was too close to a Muslim Grave yard. Now an order has been taken to forbid pig farming altogether. I am sure that the pig farmers will appeal to a court of law, but I am amazed why governments appease the religion of peace while not caring for the others. I am sure the pig farmer will have to let go some of his field hands due to a shortage of cash flow.

That sounds really gross.

The mental image I get is a plate covered with boiled potatoes and cigarette butts.
Yuck.

Che Guevara is turning in his grave at the thought that his portrait is next to such a remarkably shallow and childish post.

At least put more effort into thinking before posting next time.

Yet words are how we communicate, and I think not being able to use (or try to use) an arbitrary list of words puts serious limits on the kinds of conversations that are even possible. And it is possible to have respectful dialogue about how we humans use words, even sometimes as weapons.
