I hear women were kept to get pregnant and raise the babies.

We now have a few fish that are from evolution days .I hear planet Earth is trying to start over and we've had a few animals from evolution come back.

Is it possible the reason why we now are more involved with swinging,illicit sex,porn , one night stands,polyamory, and polygamy:
It has become more popular these days because we as a people are returning to some degree to our former cave man selves?

As odd as it sounds if you read about the cave man diets and raw food diets many have returned to cave man diiets maybe our sub conscious wants to return to sex the way it was in cave man days?

While it's true most cave men raped young women and realistically many young women were pregnant at 13 because they did not live long: Still they traveled around and had sex with many different partners.

So I was more speaking of the many different partners and high sex drive of many people these days.

I'm sure there were a few women who enjoyed sex even back then.But women were seen as property most of the time unfortunately and sometimes groups kidnapped women.

Well, since there is no written record form the time. And there is no archeological evidence to support any of this, and there are no Neanderthals alive today that were there to report on it..... I can see why you'd think this....

Some animals have a harems system, some make single bonds for life and others are opportunistic. We have not the least idea the strategy used by early man. But as the gestation and infancy period is so long it is reasonable to suppose it was family and tribal oriented.

It's a matter of believing in evolution weather or not you agree with evidence of how cave men lived. If your religious and don't agree with evolution it would stand to reason why you would not agree.

I just read from a websight on proof of the sex life from early man.Archaeologists do have a way of finding out about early cave man sex life from drawings on cave on stone and stone statues of naked women.

There is no proof that women were raped but the earliest men who were more like apes would have had sex like apes.

Later early cave men had drawings on caves and stone of sex scenes with animals so we know they used beastiality and oregys and sex with more then one person.

Women wanted to get pregnant by more then one person because they believed the more people you had sex with the more babies you'd have and the reproductive they were the richer they'd be.

Having as many babies as they could was the goal. So while abusing women conking them on the head has not been proved they do have cave paintings of having sex with lots of partners and pictures of having lots of babies.

While I am fully prepared to accept that 'cave man sex' wasn't all silk sheets and scented candles, there's absolutely no reason to believe old-school sex was based on rape or anything like that. I will allow that females were probably pretty aggressive in courting males for pregnancy, but this would more likely have been in order to prove their worth to the clan: as long as a female is fertile, she's continuing the clan line- specifically, the line of the dominant male. As long as she can work, she's contributing to the clan. If she gets to the point where she can do neither, she's a liability- and the same would obviously apply in different ways to the males of the clan.

As for '13 year olds getting pregnant' keep in mind that the Biblical Mary was about that age when she was made pregnant. It might not be physiologically optimal to be pregnant at that time, but once the girl had her first period she was generally fair game for mating- and there's no reason to believe the 'cave men' thought any different.

And as for 'having lots of babies' it makes perfect sense- the more babies you produce, the more likely the clan is to thrive with new members. Also, it's not hard to imagine that the infant mortality rate was likely to be staggeringly high, so the more babies you produce, the more have a chance to survive.
