That one God, who took on a fleshy body is not in the Bible.
This is what the God written in the Bible says:
Numbers 23:19 New International Version (NIV)
God is not human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?
1 Samuel 15:29 New International Version (NIV)
He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a human being, that he should change his mind.”
So the God of the Bible isn't human or a human being.
He is not fickle minded also.
He does not change - his mind or his nature
Psalm 55:19 New International Version (NIV)
God, who is enthroned from of old,
who does not change—
he will hear them and humble them,
because they have no fear of God.
Malachi 3:6 New International Version (NIV)
“I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.
The God of the Bible is not human, and does not change
In fact he does not even cast a shadow.
James 1:17 New International Version (NIV)
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
But if your God has a shadow because he has taken the form of a fleshy being then your God is not my God
My God does not change from what he is to a human. My God does not have a shadow. My God is in the Bible who Jesus introduced as:
John 4:24 New King James Version (NKJV)
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
And Jesus Christ in the Bible says God who is Spirit has no flesh and bones, which Jesus had
Luke 24:39 New King James Version (NKJV)
Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”
So what kind of God has flesh and bones?
Not from the Bible, maybe from somewhere else
What a misrepresentation of what I said. I didn't say God turned into a human being. But he did manifest himself in the flesh. The fulness of the Godhead/Deity was dwelling in that body. Colossians 2:8-9 That made him the image of the invisible God. Colossians 2:14-16 That was also why he was referred to as having created all things. The question is WHO was it that was dwelling in that body?
Explain who it was in Hebrews 2:14-16 that took on the seed of Abraham. If he was just a man as you say, how would he have a choice between taking on the nature of angels or taking on the seed of Abraham?
