Why does God care about some mammal species floating around in the middle of nowhere?

Why? Can anyone explain?

Because we create our Gods. And, why bother to create a God that doesn't care about us?

Maybe there is a God but it's always some other person telling you about God. A messenger... And we are suppose to take their word on it?
Why trust someone you never met? o_O
Does that make any sense? But, we are supposed to trust these people we've never met. Heck, I've little enough reason to trust most of the people I have met.

Exactly! I don't get why more believers are skeptical of a person they've never met (although some will claim to have met God) or those who claim to be messengers of God. You would never trust a stranger so why trust this being you've never met? I don't understand that.

We have "met." The world is God's body.

Why do you say that? And if His silhouette does look like that of humans then that implies that He is physically like humans
Well, I think we're talking about the image of what God projects about Himself rather than the infinite, invisible God. I mean God is more than just His image. So when the Bible says God made people in His image. Then we should realize that.

He seems to project an image of Himself as a humanoid being however. This would be symbolic perhaps. You have eyes which would be symbolic of sight, ears for hearing hands for creative ability or what not. etc.

See Ezekiel 1:26-28 for one example of when God appeared as a fiery type humanoid shape.

The question is typical but irrelevant if God is real but is not a Creator. If God didn't create the universe, God is not obligated to physically assist the universe's creatures.

If God is not a Creator, God could still care for creatures (which he did not create) spiritually, out of simple compassion.

Man's smallness in time and space is merely a human consideration and God does not necessarily share humanity's judgments about our "insignificance" in the cosmos. God probably "thinks" along quite different lines than we do in any case.

Because God is love; We are created out of God's essence out of an expression of that love.
Or so people say

We have "met." The world is God's body.
Again or so you and others say with no way to demonstrate that

Does it require verifiability?
To me it does

Yes -- in a sense, since we are created from God's essence.
God must have a pretty flawed body then

OK fair enough

I guess so but the way the universe and the world itself is set up makes it look to me as though God if he is a Creator doesn't really care about humans at all or is at least indifferent to human existence.
