Who was the first Palm reader?

I wonder who the first person was who discovered that a man or woman's destiny was written on their hand. Quite the tradition they started. Its intriguing how many adults take it seriously.

Do you believe that there are genuine Palm readers out there?

Have you had someone successfully read your palm and seen evidence that it was an accurate reading?

Abel. When he saw Cain's palm, he knew what was coming.

For whatever reason, I never could take palm reading seriously. For a time, I did take an interest in astrology and tarot cards - as I thought there might have been something to that - at least back when I was younger and more impressionable. But even back then, palm reading didn't appeal to me in the same way.

It also makes me wonder if there are other parts of the body which can be used to tell one's future. The bottom of the foot, perhaps? I wonder if there are any psychics who do butt readings?

All in all, it all seems like so much hokum. I think these "psychics" prey on people who are lost, depressed, vulnerable, and searching for answers they're not going to find from a psychic.
