Trump is insane

I can't wait to read all the carefully and logically reasoned thoughts about how this latest revelation is a wonderful idea and we should support him 100%. And that if we think it's the most insane statement yet we're suffering from TDS.

Sounds like a good thing to me. Let's use nuclear bombs everywhere. Mining, think of how easy it will be to get the coal when a mountain top is blown up. Framing, how many fields can you plow in a fraction of a second? The applications are endless.

I don’t know what you mean. This is clearly a stable genius at work and is exactly the kind of leadership America needs to stop the trial of destruction caused by Sharknados in its tracks! Nuke those sharks! Nuke the tornadoes! God Bless America! :D

Easier just to steer it away with HAARP ?
The original HAARP array was only 3.5 gigawatts, but there are 200 Gw arrays out there now.
The Chinese and Russians don’t tell us much.

Even the original array heated the ionosphere sufficiently to cause it to expand up to 80 kilometres into space. This affects barometric pressure of course.

Hang on, I just need to adjust my tinfoil hat...

A nuclear bomb will not stop hurricanes
Stopping hurricanes comes with good deeds, prayer, forgiveness, charity, and stop doing evil
The wrath of God appears in nature in several forms
If the typhoon is gone, another will come

On the whole I don't mind using techniques in self defense that's good

But a nuclear bomb is mad and lacking knowledge

Twenty hurricane per year = twenty nuclear bombs :D bye bye blue planet

thanks :)

I think the lunatic lefty that dreamed up that Trump suggested nukes be used to stop hurricanes is insane.

No source cited in the article, just hyperbole and lies as far as anyone can tell. Nobody named just the mysterious "a person said Trump said". Youd have to be an idiot to believe such stupid stuff.

Eh. Trump is just misinformed. Big deal.

You somehow do realize the idea of nuking a hurricane is nothing new? It isn't the first time it was suggested.

I'm curious if you even bothered to check to see if the idea was entertained before Trump even mentioned it?

I did. Livescience had an article on it in 2012.

Can You Stop a Hurricane by Nuking It?

I do agree however for all practical intents and purposes it really isn't a very good idea none the less. So I guess that part can go without saying. =O)

Gosh gee willikers. The lefties are so desperate these days to nitpick everything Trump says, like it's his own original suggestions. ROFLMAO!!!

Chalk it up to yet another case of TDS.

To be fair, he (Trump) did ask why we can't use nukes. It's not like he is demanding this happen like a raving loon, like some of the clowns on here suggest.

I told you the righties would be defending it, here's the headline story on the Australian news

Trump suggested the US 'nuke' hurricanes, report says

Excerpt:

US President Donald Trump suggested dropping nuclear bombs into hurricanes to prevent them from hitting the US, according to a report from American news website Axios.

Key points:
  • A source who was in the briefing room said the President asked whether they could "nuke" the storms as the moved across the Atlantic
  • The White House declined to comment but an unnamed senior official said Mr Trump's overarching objective was "not bad"
  • An expert from the US National Hurricane Centre said using bombs to disrupt the course of hurricanes was "not a good idea"

The suggestion reportedly came during a hurricane briefing with senior Homeland Security and national security officials at the White House.

Axois did not name the source but said they were in the room when the President raised the idea.

"I got it. I got it. Why don't we nuke them?" the source said, paraphrasing Mr Trump.

"They start forming off the coast of Africa, as they're moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it."

The source told Axios the person briefing the President said he would "look into that", with the suggestion astonishing those in the room.

Mr Trump brought up the hurricane-nuking idea a second time with a senior official, an exchange which the Axios report said was recorded in a 2017 National Security Council memo.
